A great victory and important contributions from Hurst and the Green and Hartley. I am really pleased for Hartley as his form had fallen off a cliff. Somebody needs to give him a big hug and build him up. There is a decent, multi dimensional cricketer there, who should be one of the more impactful county players, in all formats.

Every time we looked like we were home and hosed, we lost a couple of wickets and pressure back on.
Feared the worst when he got hit on head and lenghty delay. His response, first ball back hit for 6.
He particulary targeted Parkinson and the 6 he hit over The Point is possibly the largest i’ve seen live. Towards the end when req run rate down to 5 per over he reigned it in slightly but was still devistating.
Bowling did well, spin very good in the middle and Aspinwall closing it out beautifully. Good bowler that lad is.

Aspinwall is a good prospect. Shame he was injured again earlier in the summer and then he was carrying the drinks during the Hundred. He needs to be playing and could become a very handy first change bowler who can bat at eight.
I think we lose Salt and Wood for the final on top of Buttler and Mahmood with Green also playing in the CPL. Hopefully the change in the schedule next year will result in England players being available for finals day. | | | |
