Hope I am wrong but so far this guy looks garbage.
All well and good scoring a few in the jock pub league but today he was slow and looked totally out of his depth when he came on , even getting in the way of Vipotnik who was about the smash it goal bound.
When he was put through clean on goal he was slow and non committed, also reacted like a snail at the end when it came back off the keeper, then ball placed perfectly on his head to nut it miles over.
His record at Norwich was 8 goals in 100 games, that hardly inspires confidence, it was a bit better playing in the pub league but when your squad costs 10 times the amount of virtually all the others thats not hard.
£6 million wasted I am afraid. I doubt if the dud gets us 10 league goals this season.

I think in this case you have to give Sheehan a bit of slack. It’s a punishing schedule at the moment and Idah can’t get up to speed if he doesn’t play. No, it didn’t work tonight but hindsight is a precise science. I’ll bet my piggy bank of 1p pieces that VIP will start on Saturday. |  |

Yes, Vipotnik had a header well saved but that split second late to the ball on the goal line reminded me of the many others he has missed like that. | |

I thought the same about it being a typical VIP miss but although I’d need to see it again, I think the ball took a little bounce. It should have been put away though. | |

They are merely a part of any consultation or read information gathered by the recruitment team as it was at the time. Yes they are aware and yes they make it known where they need strengthening but it’s rarely if ever they go beyond that. | |

This seems a bit emotive. If you actually analyse his performance last night it wasn't that bad. His hold up play with feet was very good, his ability to win the ball in the air not so much - 33 touches and dispossessed only twice which is pretty impressive as a lone striker being pressed hard by a decent quality defence. He also did very well to get round his defender for that great chance that he annoyingly crossed low straight at the keeper with Widell completely free.
Definitely more involved and mobile than VIP, but without the killer instinct yet. | | | |

The way we played the last three games suits Idah better than Vipotnik.
Vipotnik wants the ball played in front of him so he can get shots off. If the striker is playing back to goal with midfielders making runs off him, Idah is better at hold up and link play. He gives centre backs more of a battle too.
Vipotnik always has that threat of banging a screamer in out of nowhere though. | | | |
