Yes but I’m hoping that if you move Dunne to his more natural position, he’ll get his confidence back and can concentrate on heading and smashing people. He doesn’t have to worry about bringing the ball forward in an attacking sense. Mbengue alongside to provide the pace cover. If you’re captain gets form back, I think that will spread to rest of the team. Morgan should be better going forward than Dunne and just tell him no “cross field” balls at any time. Field was excellent defensively at Swansea, less so going forward but he will bring some solidity that Esqerdinha won’t. |
The issue isn’t Dunne’s confidence; it’s his hip.
