We wouldn't have gone for him if he had nothing about him

No fight and no ideas, players look clueless. Same old slow sidewards backwards rubbish, drawing pressure of which we cave into. Hopefully Matos has the coaching ability to turn it around, genuinely concerned the jobs too big for him.

If he fails which I sincerely hope he doesn't, Gorringe and Worth have to go.

Sadly this possession nonsense is what we seem to identify with Matos likes it I think I’ll leave it there Experienced managers are boring apparently

Without a doubt, when a process fails the responsibility goes to the ones who employ the people who make the decisions.

We were ied to believe they had real ambition Our hopes raised accordingly We sourced players , we have four CHs and two full backs , both of who are terrible defenders Key is beyond hope and he’s the very one who should have been replaced first of all We didn’t need to sign Bobby wales then leave him to kick his heels Bad bad decisions that are costing us However, mustn’t be negative

| Bristol City v Swansea City : Match day thread : UPDATED on 14:13 - Nov 22 by JACKMANANDBOY | I think we have the makings of a decent team, we lack organisation and know on the pitch during games and we need to see forward players who can disrupt a defence and create some doubt in the opposition. |
I don't think we have the players Key, Burgess, Ronald, Idah, Eom, Smith, Cullen even Starmenic was poor today, but to put a balance to that assessment I only watched first half had to much to do. [Post edited 23 Nov 11:28]

So we have no manager for you to vent your spleen at so you go after the owners. Oh wait, you will have had a few glasses of cheap red down your gullet.

FB what is your gut feeling on the Matos appointment. Personally I am underwhelmed, of course I will support him and the club, but I would have preferred someone with a proven track record. Yes they would have cost more, but would it have been more than the continual compensation, sack pay off cycle.

I have to be honest, I am 50/50. One hand he has little experience of being a no1 on the other he does know about football in this country. Ateotd we will never get a proven experienced championship manager, we will mostly go for a lower league manager and matos isnt even this. Im hoping that he and his team will have ideas that will invigorate the imo decent squad we have. I for one will support him and not turn on him early doors 😉
| Bristol City v Swansea City : Match day thread : UPDATED on 21:32 - Nov 22 with 1373 views | QJumpingJack | It makes you wonder if over the last 5-6 months the club seems more focused on the off field activities such as Modric, Snoop Dogg. I would imagine if this poor form continues that they may start to distance themselves on social media etc. | | | |

He's got his work cut out with the squad low on confidence and having the turmoil in the background with Sheehan having gone.

Massive job but a real challenge Any ideas of future projects should take second placed to simply staying on this league It’s basically another season wasted

Still no guarantees look at Norwich who even with DoF have struggled this season despite appointing an experienced managet who got his team to the Championship play final last season That said I hope we kow we are doing

| Bristol City v Swansea City : Match day thread : UPDATED on 22:45 - Nov 22 with 1190 views | howenjack | When he comes in I hope he puts the squad through some strength training routines we look weak on the ball , dispossessed too easily. The passing in the final third has to be far quicker and more accurate . Crossing from far out today was hopeless . Shooting in the main again was way below par. Vigouroux has to come for the ball in or around his 6 yard box . Having said that he produced an excellent save low down today. Defensively we have to get tighter and stop the crosses coming in we are allowing opponents far too much room . | | | |

Matos’s accent will be guttural as opposed to Ronald’s more nasal sound Some grammatical differences but they’ll understand each other There is quite a different sound between the two European Portuguese , to us, seem to mumble and rollout vowels It’s hard to follow a native speaker Brazilian , is clearer to us
