| Old Geezers' Bus Pass 21:12 - Jan 14 with 3568 views | colinallcars | Much talk about reforming it. I only use mine for pub crawls ( I never drive if I've had say, 7 or 8 pints.)These passes are a boost to daytime economy. Just heard Labour councils are against reform, so looks like they'll stay. What thinkest thou ? | | | | |

| Old Geezers' Bus Pass on 15:29 - Jan 15 by w7r | Got my Over 60 Oyster earlier this year - love it. I don't bother driving at all now if I can do it using public transport, walking or a combo of both. Driving in London is soul destroying these days. |
I have got my Oyster card linked to my over 60’s railcard so at least I save 1/3 on my tube travel.Offpeak of course.

| Old Geezers' Bus Pass on 10:05 - Jan 15 by stowmarketrange | I get mine next March and I doubt I’ll be using it much. The buses in Suffolk are so unreliable that you can’t guarantee that you’ll get home again if you go out for the day. I might be tempted to hop on one from Marble Arch though if I’m struggling to walk from Liverpool st for home games. |
Well when I say "buses" I really mean I occasionally use the 52 on game days as I can get get from Willesden to Ladbroke Grove on in it. BUT London buses are insanely slow these days so it's not raining I'll usually just get a £6 Lime Pass and use one of their bikes to get there and back. So much quicker and a great way way to get about.

| Old Geezers' Bus Pass on 22:26 - Jan 14 by ted_hendrix | They are brilliant, bus stop with shelter 5 minutes from our front door, regular buses Into Oxford or we can drive Into the Park and Rides In Oxford and get anywhere we want for free. I'm not after a money free life nor Is the Missus but I started work on a building site at the age of 16 and finished working at the age of 68 some 52 Years later, no big deal I know but I've done my time and paid my Income tax and NI as has my Missus so we'll take our free bus pass and my free prescription medication and my NHS operations. Anybody wants to take our free bus passes away gets my pick axe handle right onto the top of their bastard heads. Leave us alone. |
Would you say that you are 'protective' where your benefits are concerned, Ted?

If only - 60 in Liverpool, 66 in Manchester, both with socialist mayors (assuming Burnham still counts).

| Old Geezers' Bus Pass on 09:59 - Jan 16 with 268 views | DavieQPR | Had mine for 17 years. Used to come in handy for work as there were no restrictions on bus in morning. Also used it to get to match days before eye problem this year. Also used for part journeys on trains. Must have saved thousands over the years. | | | |
