An enjoyable game overall which we didn't deserve to lose. Some good football in patches from us and a good show of battle. A few individual lapses allied to just a touch more quality for Southampon ultimately told, although a competent referee would probably have seen us right.
However, hard to avoid the elephant in the room. Cullen contributed nothing. Again. He shouldn't have been anywhere near the starting lineup. Again.
Allied to some odd subs in that first batch (Parker and Widell were both playing very well), you have to say that Matos needs to shoulder some of the blame too. |  |

Very disappointed after watching that
Why do we defend so deep inviting teams to come at us , we still give widemen too much space allowing them to put crosses and dangerous low balls into our box ,it was inevitable they would score given the amount of ball ,time and space we gave them
We have to be in teams faces not standing off them also we can’t just let players run through us without putting a foot in or shouldering them off the ball the Ref didn’t help us either , bad to the point of downright biased , bottled the big decisions and let blatant fouls go as well as some cynical off the ball stuff
it looked like a stonewall penalty from where I sat ,a definite pull back and just inside the box,but he was never going to give us anything as was obvious from the first whistle
We really have had some clowns officiating this season
Widell had another good game as did Eom and Franco and Parker did ok but I have to admit my shoulders sank when I saw Cullen’s name in the starting lineup,at least he wasn’t in front of Parker today but he wasn’t what we needed

Difficult to disagree with any of that. Some tinkering in the Summer will hopefully make us far more competitive. Far too reliant on Vip's goals and asking Burgess and Cabango to play with their feet is just inviting trouble. Loving Widdel and Sam Parker, hopefully Congreve & Lissah break through next season, will save us a lot of money. |  | | |

We need a manager who doesn’t defend a 1-0 lead. This isn’t top flight football and we don’t have the players.
He needs to learn quickly to utilise his players to win games not lose them like he has again today.
