I’m not sure how realistic that offer was. From what I’ve heard it was part time and paid an annual salary less than what Cook was on per week this season. It was offered so we could say we’d offered him a coaching role. Politics, dear boy. And no, I cannot say where I heard that. Anyone is welcome to not believe it.
I would expect Cook to be playing for a Champ or League 1 club in the south east next season though. Be amazed if that isn’t the case. |  | | |

Exactly the sort of deal he would have been looking for considering he still has his family home in the Bournemouth area, I wanted him to stay for 12 months but can understand that we have to move on and we've spent big on Edwards who has to be first choice alongside Jimmy. | | | |

That's a strange way to frame it if we were genuinely trying to get him to stay!
