I guess this will tell us whether we brought Welsh in as a possible regular starter or a player to cover (short term) injuries and rest periods.
If he's been brought in to fight it out for a first steam starting position then this is his chance and I don't think we'll be 'splashing the cash' on another experienced player.
Maybe if someone is around in the free or loan market.
Cabango's fitness does concern me though, he is prone to pick up a couple of injuries from time to time | | | |

It'll probably be Cabango & Welsh to start, with Heywood in reserve for a moment pending us bringing another CB in. Possibly this Dutch lad being linked. Can't see us moving Lissah from RB as that would then leave us short there. |  |

Nowhere near good enough he was on loan at Orient last season and spent a lot of the time on the bench | |

We had our own established centre halves with Championship experience to put him down the pecking order had either of those been injured he would have started more. Don't know his situation at Orient but if he became available I would have him back, he looked mobile, quick and didn't take too many risk, he did make a bad mistake in a game but given the disjointed nature of our defending it came as no surprise. Cheeky bid now we have lost Burgess for a while? [Post edited 17 Aug 13:28]

Do we need cover for our centre backs given the loss of Burgess , we have Lissah but Key struggles to complete a season, heavy number of fixtures taking their toll, Cabango had cramp on Saturday, Fulton who filled in last season also coming off late in the game how would we stand if we had a Tuesday fixture this week, the midfield looks covered , up front we have a number of players waiting for their chance. Is Carter Heywood ready for championship football, only saw him in the latter part of the game against Leganes? | | | |

Indeed. Midweek game against Watford, who will kick us into next week. Then Wrexham on the weekend followed by Southampton away in mid-week and then Burnley at home. We won't get through that lot unscathed. | | | |
