| New FFP rules for Championship from next season on 10:30 - May 18 by Blue_Castello | So quickly reading that is the important bit for us the allowable equity injection, which means the owners (Ruben) can input his own money of £33 million over 3 years and it counts towards the calculation. IF that's the case it seems an improvement for the man who is funding us at £20 million per season already, but it begs the question will that £33 million be enough to keep us within the guidelines. |
I doubt if it will make much difference to them, they will end up putting more money in anyway - hopefully- to pay for things that don't have to go on the 'official ' debit sheet. Is it unfair that clubs that bring in a greater income get to spend more money? I still think that if someone chooses to throw their money on a football club, and won't saddle said club (Us!):with the debt, it should be allowable, but in reality that would involve them putting down a huge deposit. In theory, I think moves like this should be positive, as it puts more emphasis on teams developing young, local players. Unfortunately, when your local area is in the shadow of a hugely funded puppy farm, it's somewhat skewed.

| New FFP rules for Championship from next season on 09:51 - May 18 by SimonD | Where I've got to at the moment is Squad Costs, which are the total of Player related expenditure Manager (Head Coach) related expenditure Amortisation and agents fees Less non-established U21 player wages must not exceed 85% of the total of football income profit on non-football income 3 year average of profit on player trading plus allowable equity injection (£33m over 3 seasons, no more than £15m in any one season) The official regulations are not available yet so don't take this as gospel. |
Thanks Simon. So are the new rules "better" for QPR than FFP? Or is that not really a question you can ask/answer.
