Great game and I did feel sorry for the Egyptians who must have thought it was their day but you can’t deny the fact that the Argie quality was too much . I did allude after the England game that they could well be in with a shout of at least a final position but watching Spain and now Argentina that could be the final but ? | |

Im convinced that the Argies third should have been disallowed it wasn't even referred to VAR, both challenges were in the area so they would have had to have disallowed the goal and given Egypt a penalty.. | | | |

I agree Rodger to an extent, but the Egyptian staff made the issue initially. Had they not then it wouldn't be in discussion. FIFA need to make their position clear on behaviour of all connected clubs and sides regards a political situation across the board. They won’t of course as there’s no money in it for them and the likes of Infantino would become terrorist targets or find themselves under Israeli scrutiny. | |

England had Panama and Ghana in the group, DR Congo and Mexico in the knockouts, Norway in the quarters and then possibly a struggling Argentina (or Switzerland) in the semis and then a one off game in the final if they get there, they won't have a better chance than that

Everything has turned on its head, England were due to play Brazil in the heat and humidity of Miami (there is a huge South American population in Miami) now they get to play a Scandinavian country there.
France v Morocco could be low scoring, tight game Morocco very hard to beat and its due to be played in temps of about 32 degrees, France 1-0
Spain v Belgium, Spain should get the usual 1-0 or so win, they don't concede.
England v Norway both teams to score, Haaland/Kane etc, 2-1 England most likely result, England just need to keep Odegaard and Haaland quiet to win.
Argentina v Switzerland another low scorer, Switzerland hard to beat but limited, Argentina no creativity or goals outside of Messi, they are not as good as 4 years ago without the creativity of Di Maria.
Most experts are along those lines but football is played on grass and not paper. | |
