Well done Rayns on staying up to watch it. I was out of it but then woke up and heard screams around the place. Thought game had gone into extra time looking at my watch but looked at the BBC site and it was 87’. No getting back to sleep then so I went through the agony in the dark. Then what seemed like hours later I heard prolonged screams this time which I knew was the final whistle. Brilliant result which I didn’t think was going to happen.

Don't think there's much doubt about who the breakout star of this World Cup has been. Haaland has evolved from someone mostly just football fans know to a Global figure. The Americans have gone bonkers for him. |  |

I thought England would lose, I was wrong.

I woke up for some reason about two and thought I would see what the score was and the game was about to start so watched it. I thought Mexico had more and better chances but didn't put them away. England were excellent and Bellingham was a beast. I keep expecting England to be punished on their right side of defence but it hasn't happened. It was a cracking game though and I really enjoyed it. Apart from France I think anyone can beat anybody from the rest, it will come down to a dodgy ref to stop France in my opinion. No Paraguay players booked for all their dirty play when they were kicking lumps out of the French players. More corruption, surely not. | | | |
