Theyāre good enough not to have to resort to such nefarious tactics.
As I said earlier, Swans play more like England - deep defensively inviting pressure, narrow in defence allowing wingers to have a cup of tea before crossing the ball, dwelling on the ball too long, not physically strong enough, lacking in nouse etc.
England were not good enough I have to admit and if I am totally honest, they should have lost to Norway. We gave to face it, they flattered to deceive in this competition. | |

I think we are (unfortunately) failing to give Argentina enough credit here. They played magnificently after going one down and England didnāt know how to deal with them so resorted to sitting deep which was never going to work. The fact that after the England goal was scored Argentina upped the pressure was down to them not England.
That said, I agree that an āattack is the best form of defenceā could have been more successful but in the end they just werenāt good enough and went further than maybe they deserved to. Quite simply they were found out last night. | |
