I lived in Scotland in the days of Joe Jordan and Ally's Army. They were insufferable. Long conversations in the pub about how to handle the final, but they always decided they would win 3-0. If the English can win the World Cup that shows you it's easy. Most Scots don't distinguish between Welsh and English, don't hear any difference in the accent and we get lumped in with the contempt they have for the English.
So I'm always happy to see them lose, although I like one or two of their players. | | | |
