seems I was mistaken - they did keep some back for the 1st general sale window. Managed to bag one just now. Was confused as on holiday and having to do it all on phone with spotty mobile coverage. Happy days - see some of you there! | |

We’re on similar I think, and you really have to search/scroll down for the return/flexible tickets because the site forces you to fixed single tickets to begin.
One to watch out for. There is a very tempting open return “any train” ticket offered, but on digging it’s “southern trains only” and “via three bridges” which requires a change at Clapham Junction and a Long Drawn Out Affair. |
Given your past experiences of Fratton station what are my chances of making the 17:24 train if i leave the ground a tad early ?

Well last time I did this fixture (the season before last) Fratton Station was a nightmare.
We had to enter the long way round via Selbourne Terrace.
Google Maps seems to suggest they have a new shiny entrance on Goldsmith Avenue (I.e. where you want it.) So this should be an improvement but who knows what e.g. local police are doing.
My guess is that 17.24 will be tight but see what Clive thinks. |  | | |
