Depressing read in the Sunday Times about slumping sales. I'm aware of it of course, but there you are.
In the early CAMRA days we travelled miles for a pint - people thought we were bonkers and I guess we were.
I didn't quite complete the Youngs 135 Club but did the Fullers Passport.

The Fox & Hounds is a miraculous relic of louche old Chelsea, too small and dingy for the trust fund kids, the wrong side of the square for tourists and as they don’t serve food, no interest to families. There were a couple of ancient rogues propping up the bar, bead wearing, pastis drinking, chatting up an amused young bar woman. All watched over by an old fashioned dragon of a landlady. Went to this festival over the weekend. My best mates brother lives a 100 yds away form the Rowbarge pub so every year he has friends and family all go there and meet up.
Great variety beers and ciders. I got a taste for the Blanche Super 8.
Live music and plenty of food served.
Watched the friendly on the phone. Pretty good weekend.  |  |
