Ramsdale and Harwood-Bellis would be good, and offer our best chance of a good result, but I can't see that happening. Azaz starting instead of Dobbin may happen though and that should help.

I agree but the problem is that players that are about/want to leave, won't want to get injured and therefore scupper a deal. However, their wages should be stopped for that period if they won't make themselves available |  | | |

2-1 Saints. Much improved and well in control since Millwall goal. Sciencza getting a lot of the ball and running at them causing problems.
Manning having a good game, and unlucky hitting the post.
Bragg is the weak link at moment, regularly giving ball away.
Update: should be 2-2. Lisbie just missed open goal and hit post. Big let off and now Downes has head injury and off for treatment just before half time. [Post edited 29 Aug 15:51]

Excellent performance after a slow start, where Millwall were on top for first 15 mins. Schlotterbeck had a solid game, and was unlucky for their deflected goal. He looked solid on his debut. He was Captain at Augsburg, so hopefully will bring some leadership qualities at the back.
After the equaliser we dominated the game, and kept the momentum going.
Larin looked strong and should have had his hat trick when he was 1 on 1 with their keeper. His second goal was class.

yeah heard Larin's 2nd goal was Gazza-esque so can't wait to see that later on the highlights. As you say Kevin will bring his leadership qualities but also JWP too. Bragg was the weakest link in the 1st half of what I saw, did keep giving the ball away and hope Downes is alright.
I do think we might need another DM who can really break up the play and possibly another striker with more experience in this league, just imagine if something happens to Larin (which I won't speak of) | | | |

Just seen the goals on Sky. Was hoping Fellows one was a screamer, but it deflected and barely crept over the line near the post, but I'm happy for him, he's needed and deserved a goal by now. Hopefully he will kick on from here.
Larin is on absolute fire. He lookslike a cheat code for this league. We got him for a steal!
Both Azaz and Scienza are most creative players wer on it today and when they line up cooking on gas, no teams at this level can live with them.
We have to take confidence with this win. Millwall 3rd last season and were top scored 5 and not conceding before the match. This is a big statement by Saints. |  |

I saw Ron get on the end of many of Terry Paines crosses. Unfortunately for him and many others heading the equivalent of a medicine ball week in week out had grave consequences. He was though the best header of a ball that has ever played for Saints. |  |

I think that Kev's crunching tackle in the first couple of minutes set the tone and his constant talking, Bree was back to last year, Wood found his strength after Tuesday, Manning throwing himself in with Downes, I also felt Bragg played well, kept it simple as did JWP in the 2nd half. This empathic win makes a big statement.
After all the turmoil and heartache of last season and a stuttering start to this one, we've managed to forge the team mentality we had last season, what we saw today was the engine firing on all cylinders. Fluid attacking football that was a joy to watch.
Every player played well, they knew their job and they played as a team.
I couldn't fault anyone today, you could see that they loved it and they destroyed Millwall. Let's keep our feet on the ground, it's a long season, but this game threw down a marker. | |

Just watched the extended highlights
Whilst I understand they started the game better and Lisbie should have made it 2-2, they were one of the most consistent sides in the championship last season so they were going to provide a very stern test
Lots to like for us though, we seemed much more aggressive and on the front foot and it looked like we bullied them a bit. Really like what I saw of Shlotterbeck, was quite surprised when I saw he was put straight in the team but an unlucky deflection aside, it looked like a very assured debut. |  |

There was lots to like yesterday but a big thing for me was the mental attitude which looked spot on. There have been times in the first few games when we weren't at the races. Yesterday we looked up for it.
Heads could have gone down when it was 1-0 but the opposite happened. Credit to all of them for that. Doubts about the attitude of some of the players were put to bed. | | | |
