Thrash Brough and they can sing and post whatever they want though. I’ll stick on the noise cancelling headphones and order up some enhanced audio commentary to ruin the action 2-3 seconds before it actually takes place.

I was one of those who was lukewarm about the Cardiff performance. The reason was that we made hard work at the end of a poor opposition. Too many lose balls in midfield, scoring chances passed up and then the usual whack it anywhere last 15 minutes. It should have been a 4 or 5-0 win, but it wasn't, and with the money spent, it should be. Standards.
This Boro game is the real test. I expect one goal either way to settle it.
whatever the result will be interesting to see performance, we were miles off these last season and season before. Whats in our favour is they have a lot of new players and still trying to settle everyone in, we'll probably get beat now I've said this but feels a good time to play them.
On the Meetings with club etc I heard the last one and Clive asking about the ticket issue with fans using different tickets which was never answered and thought Nourry was quite rude with his answer.
Anyway went the other night, My son was stopped and asked his age and had his ticket checked, he's 17 with a bum fluff beard so kind of get that as he has an under 18 ticket but beautifully I was also asked my age to see if my Adult ticket was valid. He either thought I was under 18 or over 66, perhaps if I said i was 67 I could have got a refund for the difference. They are certainly cracking down on stuff this season though.

That and the backstory to Hi Ho Silver Lining, I didn't know that. Even more annoyed that they're messing with the music now! Ive always loved the fact that the songs associated with QPR - HHSL, pigbag, and London Calling - are all genuinely decent. And yeah it just makes sense that HHSL is a post-win track, it's celebratory! Whereas London Calling is stirring etc.
Anyway, just rehashing old ground now. Gonna go and shout at those bloody clouds

Looking forward to this one with both nerves and optimism. Nerves that Boro will turn it on again at LR, but with optimism we have progressed and can get a good result. For me something clicked in that pre-season game against Fiorentina, the sort of spark and confident performance that has ignited the momentum we are now witnessing.

Why do we need an "anthem" anyway but it was very poor from the club to leave the lads high and dry .
Also it is a bit nauseous hearing people dismissing peoples feelings about this as if we don't aggressively reject stuff like this then the club can feel they could try and get away with anything in the future !

Re the music, i always impress the mates i bring in from France when London calling plays and tell them the connection between the Clash and us. It needs to stay! Music connection to QPR is quite a big usp

similarly, at Ellerslie Road they bag- checked on a table that was jammed up agaisnt the wall with 3 or 4 stewards doing the checks and queues 2 or 3 deep. After the cursory peep inside the bag people at the end by the wall had to fight through all the other bag checks, there was no way out for them.
Such a wonderful knack for shit space design and ergonomics !

In cycling parlance - that's not a dig at our Ben - this is the first stage with "hors categorie" climbs. "Properly hard," as Ed Stafford would say (where on earth am I going with this, Ed's not a cyclist ).
I think we can get a point from this, but if we lose by a goal or two, a crumb of comfort would be that the defeat could stop us getting complacent and make us redouble our efforts. A thrashing, on the other hand, could have posters dusting off the old "flash in the pan" phrase. In any case, I think having this stern test now ultimately helps us.

Look at the reaction I got for daring to dig into the idea we had to get rid of concessionaire bands because QPR fans were misusing them. Dissenting opinions not really in vogue at QPR at the moment.
