Hopefully we will get an update from the club ahead of the Southampton game. Really have high expectations of this lad and he will key to unlocking tight games and teams looking to stifle our passing style of play. Could easily be the player of the championship this season, he's that good. | | | |

I understand the hold-up with Jeremy Monga is primarily a FIFA minors-registration issue. Monga is under 18 and has joined Swansea City on loan from Manchester City. That’s an international transfer in this case. Never easy.

Hope Matos doesn't feel "obliged" to reinstate Cabango for this game. I think both Welsh & Lissah have been a fantastic pairing since Cabango's injury. Not only do they both possess quality on the ball along with an eye for an incisive pass but they also possess a calmness about them that must translate to the other players around

I can see Cabango coming back in with either Lissah or Key being rested. Alot of games in a short space of time and Cabango played well in a couple of the games before he got injured. Got a bad feeling with this game I would take a 1 1. We were lucky in the 0 0 down there last season that Armstrong didn't have his shooting boots on. I hope he rests Key who struggled in that game last season. Key playing well but all teams rotate with a busy schedule.K Moore is an example of that in Fridays game. | | | |

We currently have 2 right backs, Key and Lissah at centre back we have ,Cabango,Welsh,Seelt Lissah and Carter Heywood at Cb.
Before Cabangos injury many on here wew saying how well Cabango and Welsh looked together.
if Lissah gets injured or "fatigued" we are at risk at right back...

On reflection I would rest Key because of his past history with muscle injuries at least for the start of the game.
As for having someone to unlock tight defence I think that will come we have seen what Opoku can do, Eom is on top of his game Widell and Just need time to adapt, Just new to the Championship and Widell on the righthand side as opposed to the left. Yeo similarly to Just, both making surging runs but need to release the ball earlier especially when starting from so deep, if they are doing the runs closer to the penalty box then the confusing in the opposition's defence would be amplified. They run down blind alleys at times but high up the park puts more pressure on teams, still thi both wings need changing during games so would like to see Ronald used more. Once Eom has left for the Asian games then I would be happy to have Monga join the squad but not at the expense of Woodward sitting permanently on the bench or not in the day time squad, he showed promise with his cameos last season. | | | |

I agree I think Key will be rested possibly coming on from the bench later in the game which is why possibly Lissah was subbed on Saturday to give him a some rest minutes and allow Cabango some game time before tonight.
As regards unlocking tight defences having watched the match again after being there in Saturday despite Wrexhams defending we did breach the tight lines more than I remembered at the game but what we lacked were numbers in the box as you say as players settle and adjust this will come.
I even wonder if maybe sometimes at home we adopt a different formation maybe a 3 5 2a

Agree ,I hink we've a pair of gems and with both full backs and more than decent keeper we have the makings as seen so far of a strong defensive unit, why disrupt it .Players often have take their chances when they're presented and so far both Welsh and Lissah have proved well up to the task so why change it. | |
