Refrained from posting on that Park Run thread as my experience is those that partake are instantly entitled to the run of said park.
Everyone else best stay out of the way as sanctimonious tossers in Lycra own every inch of every path whilst they strive to claim a “new PB guy”
Walking the dog at the same time as these weekend Daley Thompson’s is a punch up waiting to happen.
I take my dogs out for a walk to relax myself and have a bit of fun, or, if with other like minded dog walkers, chew the cud at our own pace.
Anyways….. breathe

I know a few golf clubs have public thoroughfares (rarely advertised) so dogs would have to be allowed. Can't say I've ever seen a dog with someone while they are playing though | | | |

It was at Chingford (just off Rangers Road) it has public right of way . Home of Epping Forest Golf Club where up until several years ago it was mandatory for all members to wear a red top at all times . | | | |

I was a green keeper for a while and used to take him on the right in on weekends for course set up etc. He followed me around on the machines for half a day. 5 miles minimum each time. Great times with my dog. |  |

We have a rescue Shiba Enu / Terrier mix and never did a nicer dog wander this earth .Getting old and feeble now and yes I know whats in the future .
Also have 2 daughters living here ,mid 20s and 21 both with steady boyfriends .
Our dog loves one guy but simply hates/despises the other guy and agressivly barks and follows him around its a bit disconserting .He is a nice kid and treats my daughter well but what does the dog sense or am I being just being paranoid .Any thoughts welcome . Thanks |  | | |

I reckon he's trying to protect your daughter?
They are funny sods aren't they? My mum was always scared of dogs and our just knows not to jump up at her, and seems to be very gentle towards my mum.
They just have senses that we don't and can pick up on the tiniest of cues.
Saw a programme about a service dog, who could tell its owner was about to have a seizure (before they knew themselves). Amazing animals.
Cats can probably tell as well, but don't give a shit ;D | | | |
