I have wanted to see this for a long time.

He has the same attributes as Burrell. Pace, power, causes havoc, can score goals. If Burrell is out then it seems like an obvious choice and it worked a treat . Him and Kone were superb as two strikers today.

Paul Smyth is absolutely one of my favourite players. How boring that on virtually every QPR podcast, it's always said "Smyth gets a lot of stick from fans but......". Please let's stop this. He doesn't. No one I know ever gives him stick. He's unanimously popular where I sit.

Loved him from day 1 v Cardiff that time.

Surely one of the first on the team sheet now.

Cheers.

The Wee Man is what all players at Rangers should look to be like, a great player and a great human being.

AND WHEN I DREAM , I DREAM ABOUT YOU AND WHEN I SCREAM I SCREAM ABOUT YOU!!!!!

I think he has the potential to become a club legend. I really do. I am drunk tho.

I'm hungover instead and I agree wholeheartedly

Tactical masterstroke by Stephan pairing Smyth's pace with Kone up front.

Especially against a high-line possession team like Swansea.

A really clever use of the (diminishing) resources available.

Playing the best football of his qpr career. Obviously big credit to him but another big tick for the coaching set up.

Wouldn’t surprise me if a West Ham or Southampton come calling for him January
Smyth for me is a first name on the team sheet every week

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

After, I think it's something like 200 years without a penalty, Smyth wins three in four games. People talk about end product but I'd say that counts?

Love him to bits, really joyous seeing him performing like this. I said on the match thread seeing him up front with Kone was giving me Les and Bradley Allen vibes.

Fair play to JS seeing the opportunity to play him there, will be interesting to see if this becomes a regular feature, and whether he's now competing with Burrell for the same role
