I've got about 15 cats nowadays (adopted all the local strays). They all have a different voice, i can tell each one from their voice with my eyes closed. Not heard any whistling yet though mate. Or at least, not when they know i'm within earshot.
My cat has issues, clingy as f*ck, all she wants to do is sit on you, anytime any place. And licks, she loves to lick you like a dog. Rancid when she's just eaten her food, cat meat breath is horrendous. Is a bit fiesty to me, work from home, she plonks herself on my mouse mat where my hand is and if I dare move it too many time she bites me. My kids (1 year old snd a 5 yesr old)can prod and annoy her as much as they like, she never batters an eyelid to them, like she knows they know no better.
We did rescue her though from a Bluecross centre, she shows her gratitude every day.

Everyone either has a dog that thinks they gave up their job just to spend more time with them or a cat that thinks that they lost their job like the loser they always thought they were.
The grass is always greener.

My cat makes a noise akin to a whistle, but only during the day. He also thinks he's a dog which is a bit odd, and hates me shouting at the telly when the footy 's on.
Fabulous, inscrutable creatures ðŸ±
They can get bad tempered though if under pressure
