Mick, it certainly did when I lived there, during the rush hour you could get a direct train to Chesham as well!

I moved away from Chesham in 1974 Mick, but I think the "old shuttle" between Chesham & Chalfont Latimer is different these days.

Rather than having to change at Chalfont, it appears that it is now a half hourly direct train from Chesham to Aldgate.

Of course, you could change there to get on an Amersham bound train, but you would be close to having walked between Chesham & Amersham stations by the time you arrived!

Chesham to Chalfont and Latimer is the longest journey between two stations on the Underground.

That’s a fact, unless it’s changed.
