When Rangers Win, and Chelsea Lose (£155m)

Year end 30 June 2021: Key Numbers

- Operating loss £155m (£32m profit in 2020)
- Income up 7% to £435m
- Wages up 17% to £333m
- Ave Weekly wage £155k
- Squad cost £959m
- Owed to Abramovich £1.4 billion

In all seriousness, and as Loftboy raised in the other thread, how is this sustainable?

I have always enjoyed that song (Tommy Steele's version, especially) but don't we sing the blues when we are UNhappy?

I always thought this.

While we are unpicking football chants, why celery?

Surely, the most inexplicable is "Over land & sea & Leicester".

I think Sir Edward Elgar would have approved.

I remember when we added that in.

Edit…the East Midlands city that is.

The memory's hazy, but I believe the 'hate Forest' chant was started in the late 60s by Coventry fans who'd been knocked out of the cup by them, it was then copied and revised by everyone else.

Apologies if this has already been stated .... but as long as Roman Abramovich, the former Governor of Chukotka, funds this club then it will remain sustainable. However, there has always been a question mark and concern (no concern of mine of course) that the day he loses interest and pulls out, or if something happens to him of a political nature, then they are bust. Both situations are seriously realistic.

I have always believed that started after Jo Waters had dashed our hopes in the 6th Round of the FA Cup.

I first heard it in the '60's, possibly at West Ham.

It was sung everywhere apart from in Leicester.
