You gotta wonder... 16:51 - Nov 28 with 4616 viewsRangersDave

Who in their right mind see's GR as a step up?

I mean ok, crowd wise, but all the crap that comes with that team?

Also, who wants to visit the same clubs umpteenth times a season and beat a league of 'also rans' every blinking season?

I mean if that is the total of MB's ambition, then good riddance, when he could, possibly, be a premiership manager next season, if he had realised that the wastelands north of mighty Hadrians Wall were not for him. Foolish boy.

Poll: Do we think Rangers wil be mathematically relegated by or on New Years day?

I think they will probably pay him a lot more than he could earn here, and who wouldn’t turn down a new job with more money?
IF(?) he goes though,it will be a massive slap in the chops for us and the board after stating that he didn’t want the wolves job and wanted to stay here.

They got to a European final last season so think it is a step up from QPR, I don't like the way he's gone about this but football wise it's probably the right decsion for him

Like you say - a big crowd, I guess if it all goes t1t it's a good pay-off.

That's all there is. Talk about lack of ambition, mickey mouse farmers league. It's such a pony league, I can't see what the attraction is.

I understand that there is a lot of emotion flying around which lends itself to people saying bizarre things, but this is actually beyond that.

Whether you like it or not both Rangers and Celtic are among the biggest teams in World football and they are far bigger than than us and, for that matter, most sides in England. Whether it is the right step for Beale is debatable, but he has got an opportunity to manage a side with a genuine global fanbase in the millions - rather than counting likes on Twitter and Facebook as some English clubs do towards counting their international 'fanbase' - and he has the opportunity to become a legend to those fans. He'd be an idiot to not consider taking it and if he feels he can cope with their demands in the mad goldfish bowl of Glasgow football then good luck to him.

Another thing, I'm yet to meet a Scotsman who makes a point that their league is better than the English but yet it seems to be something the English insist on repeating in reverse ad infimum though, that said, the Scottish league is clearly one of the top 10 - 15 leagues in the continent despite them having a smaller population than London and a lot less dirty money floating around their league...

Seriously folks, be angry, be disappointed but stop and think about what you're saying....

"mickey mouse farmers league"

How many different European Leagues have provided Finalists in the last 20 years to European competition...

I certainly don't, but I doubt if there are many non-supporting Queens Park Rangers people that wouldn't regard the Glasgow side as a huge step up.

Well, my advice to them would be to stop listening to all 'ItS a FaRmERs LeaagUe' nonsense and blokes in the pub and do some research...

A club who has reached 2 European finals in 14 years isn't a step up from QPR... FFS

As a club, it is a step up, no doubt. But a s a league it is not.

Smells like a trout farm in here

"I am hugely proud, it is a wonderful, wonderful football club, it is an institution," Beale told the Rangers website.

"For everyone that works here it is a huge privilege, but to be the manager of this football club, that is extremely special. Some wonderful people have sat in this chair prior to me, and I am hugely proud to be the person sat here now."

Maybe he thinks the religious intolerance is a good thing? They ain’t famous for much else

Mate, he's Catholic...

I'm genuinely from a Celtic family and everyone in the family would say you're talking nonsense if you don't think they are more famous for their football endeavours....

Its a toilet roll league . look at the average attendances outside the top 2 , they are league 1 and 2 levels .

10 or so teams surviving from playing two teams 4 times a year . Those two teams rivalry stoked not by sport but by religion ... its a non viable sh*tshow IMO

Rangers are clearly a bigger club but if playing the likes of Ross County and massive games with Motherwell gets his juices going then fair play

It's not an easy job though as they're miles behind Celtic and will be for a good few years yet so l suspect the fans will want him out within 12 months that's if he hasn't jumped ship himself

Another stepping stone. I hope they suss him out as quickly as we did. He’s not as smart as he thinks he is.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

What attendances do you think a country with a population of 5.4m should get...

Also, why are the English so obsessed about slagging off the Scottish league? It's honestly very weird...

2 Big clubs undoubtedly but it's s two team league.

Other than when Rangers got demoted (which they altered the leagues to get them back quicker) when did anyone other than them get top 2?

Aberdeen under Fergie right?

They are a big clubs yet but they are 2 PL sides playing against L1 L2 every week.

Did well last year but I doubt it'll happen again for a very ling time but then I doubt Beale will be there very long either.

I've always said that it's best to be honest about QPR and acknowledge what we are: a small-medium sized club with little chance of success before the dirty money washed through English football and either less chance now.

Therefore, I want players to come here wanting to play for Man Utd, Man City or Chelsea in the long run but knowing they need to get things right here if they are to fulfill those ambitions. The same as our managers. If someone has the ambition of playing for QPR are they the right player for us?

But with regards to Beale, although I can fully understand his rationale for leaving to manage Glasgow Rangers- opportunity like this doesn't come around often, can lead to even bigger roles - maybe England? - if he gets it right and financial security for life if he doesn't, he hasn't proved himself and getting it wrong at Ibrox could end his career.

He's a brave man to take one of the craziest roles anywhere in World football with such little experience, but honestly good luck to him. The way some QPR fans are reacting is quite embarrassing and endemic of an over emotional attachment to a football club.

I'm English/Irish and a QPR fan for f**k sake...

Do you think the Scots are secretly going around saying their league is better than the Premier League? If not, why do the English have an insatiable need to slag off the Scottish League?

You gotta wonder... on 20:08 - Nov 28 with 2543 viewsTGRRRSSS

Why are you so defensive of it.

Scots plenty slag off the English and I hardly think they need you to defend them.

This is more to do with Beale's behaviour, odd though you only seem to have appeared on this site today - his integrity crap from a few weeks ago.

In many ways though this is typical QPR - something good and before long disaster (probably)

We wouldn’t have minded if he’d taken the wolves job as that would’ve showed his ambition, but to give the bs about loyalty and then disappear as quick as a fart in the wind is what is upsetting a lot of qpr fans.
If he’d just said that it wasn’t the right job is ok,but he didn’t.He was the one talking about lack of experience and sticking to the job he’d started, not us.

I'm not being defensive but trying to point out that people saying he's taken a step down are talking absolute bollocks as are those who don't realise that out of 55 European Leagues the SPL is in the top 10-15.

Scots slag off the English? True, but do you know what they don't do? Say the SPL is better than the EPL, that's why it's odd that English fans feel the need to do the reverse...

I've been a lurker and felt compelled to post today, is that a sin?

Have a season ticket in row C in block F of the SAR stand and used to get the same coaches as Joe Hylton, John Proudlock(RIP) and Vic if you're trying to accused me of being a Hun...

It would be a bit hard for them to do so wouldn't it.

I think most of us would have accepted if he's left for Wolves but the way he said about integrity is the problem.

Like I say in many ways it's typical QPR

No problem with a lurker joining just odd your rather impassioned defence of Scotland and the Scottish league which carries on.

Being in the top 10--15 leagues well.... here you go see the attached

It would be impossible for them and we all know it... us and them and that's why its frankly rather ridiculous that people come out with the same embarrassing, boring bollocks ad infinitum...

And I said it was one of the top 10-15 Leagues in EUROPEAN football whereas your link ranks global football.
