| Saka on 19:07 - Mar 26 with 2569 views | NorthantsHoop | Local lad went to Greenford High School, makes you wonder how QPR never got hold of him, suppose he was hoovered up by the Prem monsters and never got a look in. | | | |
| Saka on 19:14 - Mar 26 with 2549 views | aston_hoop | An outstanding footballer, already building a team around him and Bellingham that will carry us through the next decade. Perfect break for England, 2 games and 2 wins, would have to have one hell of a disaster to not qualify already. [Post edited 26 Mar 2023 19:16]

Maybe we tried to. For every Sterling there will be a dozen saka’s. It just not possible to sign up every single decent kid in the area. Even harder if their school/youth club/parent etc has approached the big clubs. I live in what would be deemed a Brentford area but there are kids in the local youth teams already doing one night a week with Chelsea. It’s killing lower, grass roots football. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

'Hoovered' is a good word for the Greenford area Shame he was not sucked in by our appliance, though.

Slight tangent but watched Bellingham being interviewed after the game and two things stood out. Talk about an old head on young shoulders. Hard to believe he’s only 19 years old. Secondly, he was stood next to Gerrard and he’s an absolute unit. The future looks very bright for England with Saka and Bellingham leading the way. They should be even better in a year’s time assuming they stay fit.

He's amazingly mature for his age. Gerrard incredibly complimentary about him, saying how much greater physical attributes he has than Gerrard himself at that age.

Birmingham licking their lips already at the large, juicy sell on fee they're going to get when he's sold for £100m+

I can quite understand now why they retired his shirt number.

I remember how many of us, including myself, were staggered at how much Bellingham cost Dortmund! Saka & Bellingham in the same national side must be the envy of the rest of the world.
