Can’t say I’ve heard that before and to be honest I’m still happy with my life having never come across it. I’ve heard better. Don’t think I’ve heard worse to be fair. Lyrics are pretty limited as well.

The earliest song I remember fans singing - to the Heinz TV ad of the time,
“A million 'ousewives every day,
Pick up a tin o' beans and say - Q P R”

Yes…. I remember that.

How about - all the nice girls love the Rangers, to the tune of All The Nice Girls Love A Sailor ?

Any further back and we'd be in World War II.

Oh god, everyone I knew who supported other teams took the piss out of this and we played it at every home game. Cringeworthy stuff.

The others on this thread I hadn't heard and frankly would rather not hear again!

The only half decent one I can recall is down at the bush. Can't find it online but I recall the words approximately as follows:

Down at the bush on a Saturday night
we meet after the game and we put it all right
the ones we stuck in and the ones that we missed
that short sighted ref, he'll go down on the list
(player name I can't recall) was in form, Gerry tore them apart
and Stan was there to knock em in
Don was incredible, boy can he head a ball
Rangers forever will win.

Chrous:
We're going up, up, down at the bush.
We're going up, up, down at the bush.
We're going up, up, down at the bush.
We're going up, up, up, up down at the bush.

Followed by singing "superhoops, superhoops, la, la, la, la , la" in high pitched voices!

QPR The Greatest 1967
By Mark Lazarus
After our 3 2 league cup final win

Who'd have thought we'd have done it
Who'd have thought we've here
Who'd have thought we'd be knocking back Champagne
Who'd have thought we'd have won it
Who'd have thought we'd get the cheer
When the final whistle blew we'd won the game

Chorus
QPR they're the greatest
QPR they're the bet
Queens Park Rangers are on the up and up
QPR they're the greatest QPR theyre the best
Now we're heading for the European cup

Now West Brom they were 2 leagues up
At the start they had it tricked
And hold tight we were feeling pretty grim
Cos the 2 they got past Peter blimey mate theh gad us licked, but old Alec still felt sure that we could win, good old Alec

Chorus

We came out with mike the master who wS urging us to go and the Roger upped and headed us a goal, Rodney equalised soon after and before the ref could blow. Well I added yet another to the toll

Chorus

Who you got then?
Well theres Frank and Keith and Tony and Jim's not retiring yet. There's Les Allen Ronnie Hunt and Roger's twin
With a team like that not only can you flipping well get set but you bet your life you're sure to bloody win

Chorus

Even though this is clearly a shocker of a song I love it because it evokes memories of my first years going to LR in the early 80s with my late Dad, when I hear it I can see the lights and taste the sausage roll from the kiosk in SA Road!

Amazing how evocative a song can be ...... what I'd give to go back 😢

Dear god, have we always been sh1t? Just having one of those moments where you see something you love as others do. I'm comforted by the fact there's at least 12 thousand others who feel the same, I guess we could arrange a group therapy session at half time?

I haven't heard anyone sing this for donkey's years so I Googled it.
The song is actually Ship Ahoy. Written in 1905, I'm afraid the original words wouldn't be acceptable in this PC days.

As football club songs go, I thought that was one of the best.
Chelsea still belt out 'blue is the colour' over the tannoy to this day.
A lot to be said for tradition. And as a football club, we say the least.

The middle bit of that reminded me of the beginning of Magna Carta 'Lord of the Ages'. (which is a great prog track after a few Ales)
