another season of nightmares getting to away games, 2 moved to Friday nights and any game on a Saturday either has a train strike or rail replacement buses. |
This is what its like coming to most home games for those of us out in the sticks .
Just booked Hull at home dec 9th & part bus replacement 2hrs37 just to liverpool st.
Booked train/bus for Leicester home game & then last friday got an email saying the train part of the journey from Ingatestone to liv st will not now run so the only option then was train to stomarket then a bus to cambridge wait 33 mins then another bus to Stanstead then a train to liv st .
Same after the game but only return option was 8pm ish & arrives back in Diss at 1am Sunday !

I've just looked this up & the bus replacement is Witham to Billericay, the same as the trip to Norwich.
Not the greatest, but this is one of the easiest of the bus trips. It takes far less time than is allowed for & trains leave Billericay for LS every 15 minutes.
It might mean I make the pub closer to 1.30 than 1.00 though! | | | |

Yes cheers for the info , this has just changed & i would use this but having got a refund when the only option showing from Diss was the Stanstead option they now want £56 return so i wont be paying that , the legendary Stowmarketrange very kindly offered a lift to the game , some very good people on this board . | | | |
