Sebastien Polter's Homework on 17:39 - Jan 16 with 4913 views | Hunterhoop | I went. He was excellent. Held it up well, ran the channels, pressed the defence, won headers in defence at set pieces, worked his nuts off, scored from his only chance (when he had to bust a gut to get there). He wants it. He was shattered at the end. Soon as the whistle went he was on his haunches gulping the air in. Ran himself into the ground almost literally. So deserved his goal. Would love to see the distance stats...would wager he ran more than than anyone on the pitch. Proper centre forward display. MOTM. Well done, Seb. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Two MOTM performances in a week for me, worked exceptionally hard for the team, constantly covering wide players who weren't quick to get back into position. He also was crucial in the first half from defensive set pieces, winning several important headers from corners. Delighted he got his goal at the end, it was well deserved, but more importantly I was pleased at how his team mates acknowledged him after he scored. It felt like they respected his contribution and it was a telling difference to the little whinges and moans I saw directed at him earlier in the campaign when at times he wasn't quite on the same wavelength as them. Great to see the away support giving him rapturous applause at the end too. [Post edited 16 Jan 2016 17:59]

Totally agree - he was great today all over the pitch and certainly deserved his goal at the end

Think he is starting to win the hearts and minds. I thought he was excellent today, never stopped working and as Neil says played a big part in defending at corners. Pleased his got his goal and great reception at the end. Nice touch by him singling out a little lad and giving him his shirt. I stick by what I have said - could become a Rangers legend

Another good performance today , thing I like about him is his awareness couple of times today he filled in when the midfield was short before other players become away of the gaps he was there , good shift today and totally deserved his goal

Sebastien Polter's Homework on 23:25 - Jan 16 with 4101 views | Boston | S'funny, I agree with just about everything said about Polter, the fors and against, because all views have credence. Me, I scratched my head at first, then realized he had value as a tough hard running mother and now am delighted to see him getting on the score sheet, because his hard work deserves reward. The only post that has me confused is Pommys, no offence mate but the last time I looked most of the crowd watching Rangers were the same race as the blond bombshell😃

Does anyone agree with me that the "Big F****** German" chant is not very nice? It`s an Arsenal one, too, so not even original. Maybe I`m being over-sensitive, and perhaps he loves to be described in that way, but it doesn`t seem terribly flattering to me. Try again, corner choir. [Post edited 16 Jan 2016 23:34]

Sebastien Polter's Homework on 00:09 - Jan 17 with 4001 views | rrrspricey | Agree that Polter's been excellent last 2 games. Over the years my expectations of success have lowered considerably but the one thing I do expect is 100% effort and Polter gives that. Get Mackie back match fit and hopefully the 2 of them can shame the rest into doing the same.

Yeah that was a nice touch. We bumped into the little lad on the train on the way home, he was showing off his shirt and beaming. You forget how these little things can have a massive impact on kids and means the world to them.
