Really obscure now. Songs that may bring derision.
Found this earlier today after years of trying to remember it.
Originally discovered in the Town and Country, as part of Wendy May's Locomotion set.
It's just as great as I hoped it was.

Mystical music, haunting lyric. Haven't heard it much so it's obscure for me.

I was following the pack, all swallowed in their coats
With scarves of red tied 'round their throats
To keep their little heads from falling in the snow
And I turned 'round and there you go
And Michael, you would fall and turn the white snow red
As strawberries in the summertime

I don't know anything about this guy, and can't remember where I came across it. But I fricking love it. Something about the lo-fi production combined with a really solid low end, and the simple fragility of the vocals. But I'm also totally aware that it's quite shit and cheesy! Sometimes that hits the spot though.

Sat listening to this in my car now, which has a decent subwoofer. Skip it to 2m30s to see what I mean, lovely vocal break followed a really gratifying bass drop.

I do a bit of DJing sometimes, and have been tempted to play it as an end-of-setter, but never had the nerve. Would need to be at a high emotion point, perhaps after 10 hours as the sun comes up 😂

I was really in to this album when it came out. Agree that it has a mystical other worldliness to it

Swedish psychedelic rock band, like Can from Germany. So much good stuff.

Irish band that only me and my daughter seem to have heard of (Brian?). 11 thumbs-up on YouTube in 9 years (!)

The song that got me into Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino. They're almost an institution in the heel of Italy. I saw them live a good few years ago. One of the most wonderful concerts I've been to.

Was a b-side of Waves from memory, but always liked it.

Before The Police became successful they worked with Eberhard Schoener.

B side of 'Turning Japanese', ended up playing this side of the single far more than the A side, still love it 45+ years on.

Not hating but I find it mad to see someone say Fleet Foxes, a band I've seen headline festivals, are obscure and posting one of their most famous songs (over 300m streams on Spotify). Life really is so subjective isn't it!

Not sure if it's obscure, but heavily played during my days in Oz back in the 90s.

Random Euro rock synth track I picked up on my year abroad - think they're German. Never heard of them before or since!

God, I used to love that B-side.

Had forgotten all about it, thanks.

Click on Watch On YouTube and it plays, if you like 70's AOR or yacht rock, you won't find it on Spotify!

Superb, simple, perfect. This is the most unf*ckwittable tune out there.
