We don't all want to watch highlights on our phone. It's good that these are still on TV, albeit the quality of the show has sadly declined.
MOTD, I also watch but often slightly delayed on iPlayer so that I can ff through the excessive punditry.
I thought that a highlights show was sadly missing from the last world cup. I know they were online but I rarely get around to watching them. Need the discipline of a time slot.😁 | | | |

It’s v hard to crowbar 36 games worth of highlights into a 60-90-120 min broadcast. I’ve had to do edits like that in the past for local news and you’re cutting stuff, including goals from the lower divisions, that you know will pis off the person who’s hanging around for Mansfield Town highlights.
I remember being allowed to stay up late to watch QPR 1 Villa 0 on match of the day when Sommer had a worldie, and we got ten seconds at the end - Gallen goal and that was it.
I don’t really understand why ITV have bid for these rights to do this with them. It’s to populate ITVX I guess but if you’re doing that then have a workable, searchable streamer where I can cut to the game I want easily, look for extended highlights etc. as soon as I scroll either way it puts me into another advert for Venus leg razors (your fire, your desire).
Quest was the best version. Colin Murray was brilliant and they gave it time to breath (because they had nothing else to show). |  | | |

The constant time changes annoy me.I know that more people in the country are interested in watching the Kentucky Derby than EFL highlights,but at least keep to a regular time slot. |  | | |

I agree that it was done better by Quest. As for the highlights last night , it was too short, they missed out Vale's shot tipped on to the bar and Kone's 2 1st half efforts.
They could have cut out some other clubs highlights instead of making QPR'S game look like a goaless bore show. | | | |

ITV X is awful if you have not subscribed they run multiple ads that run 5 mins at a time . Allow 1.5 hours to watch 1 hour of highlights. The coverage is terrible as others said Colin Murray was very good. This version is not worth watching. I tend to wait for full 90 mins rerun on QPR with Sinces commentary. | | | |
