joking aside - how very silly. They're midtable and have just got out of those energy sapping Europa matches. That's 4 managers this weekend I think. Flitcroft, Jones, Jol and Coyle. Any lower league dismissals?

Perhaps a difference of opinions at the top. Owen Coyle thought he was a top football manager, but the evidence appears to suggest otherwise. Dave Whelan usually very supportive, but seems to have realised in this case it probably wasn't working.

As we walked out of the DW a month ago I got talking to 2 locals and I asked what they thought of Coyle as that was the worse Wigan side I can ever remember. They both reckoned he'd be gone by Christmas. I should've put some wonga on it.

I remember Coyle on 5live before he got the job. Whelan was a call in guest and Coyle was full of himself on that program "only buys young, hungry players, ... Works with them to develop them ... Good record in the transfer market ..etc. ". Far too cocky even by sweaty sock manager standards.

Back to 5live for Coyle where he can go on about his mate Moysey.
