After some very rigorous criteria for recent Friday music threads I believe it's time for a much more lax approach (without, of course, reducing standards). Let's get the ball rolling with a soul classic...

I'm not a big fan of this lot but I love this infectious tune:
This always cracks me up:
Not your archetypal Sabbath tune, catchy stuff, almost boogie like:

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Weezer - I have that album, it's great, Metallica, but "Pinkerton": oh dearie me, that one is awful!
Welcome back by the way :)

Been trawling through this soundcloud playlist recently, and rediscovered this absolute beauty, listening to it several times a day at present. Skip to 3.40 if you'd like to hear one of most perfectly constructed 'drops' of the past couple of decades
Tactical, have you been watching the series "Quarry"? Not only is it very good in its own right, but a copy of "Otis Blue" has a big influence on the story in the 1st episode.

No, completely missed out on that series. The trailer on IMDb looks good.

Only seen 2 out of 8, but the plot is very ingenious and it looks great. Must have been a big budget. Set in Nashville in 1972, so a couple of times an episode there's a musical interlude, with a scene in a church or a bar, fortunately not cheesy country (yet).

Seen whole of the 1st season. Doesn't disappoint just gets better.
It leaves a lot open so I hope it doesn't get cancelled.
Into Sneaky Pete at the moment. Hooked.
