How does anyone coming in turn this around? 18:52 - Apr 6 with 9248 viewsbosh67

6 games to go and a group of players that look like they have lost the will to live. 2 games this week so no time to get to know anyone.

Whoever comes in, if someone comes in, how on earth do they lift them up and how in the world do they get a competitive game out of them. Very hard for anyone coming in at this stage with the team at an all time low.

Moore, Bowyer, Sherwood (even through so many people hate him for some reason), Warne, Ainsworth. How are any of them meant to sort this out in the time left? I don't see it.

I believe McClaren had kind of lost the plot but given the mess we are in did we leave it far too late to do something or should we just have left McClaren in?

More importantly, how does anyone deal with this mess in 6 games or less?

Never knowingly right.

As far as you can, play those who will be here next season. Even if it means recalling those loanees.

And never, ever, pick Joel Lynch.

All valid questions Bosh and I haven't got an answer to any of them. Eustace looked very much like a rabbit in the headlights to me today, and what possessed him to pick Lynch after last week I have no idea. But team selection aside it wasn't hard to imagine a highly skilled, experienced manager (unlikely, yes) standing there at half time shaking his head at the state of us, unable to understand how highly paid grown men could be that pathetic.

Whoever came in we'd basically be looking for them to fluke the win that keeps us up and pour all of his energy into figuring out what to do next season.

Bit reminiscent of when Gerry left and Ollie came in first time. Relegation inevitable; just looking forward to next season.

As someone else has said, just get Ollie back to finish his contract; we're paying him anyway.

Under Eustace we are flecked, so dull, so uninspiring and so clearly out of his depth..

Can we go out yet?

Les has to step up and take the caretakers job the thought of eustace standing on the touch line arms folded and looking clueless as the oppo terrorize our full backs without doing anything fills me with dread
Drop cousins and Cameron both were garbage today and didn’t break sweat let’s give manning a go ffs the boy needs games and cannot be worse than them two also bring back freeman into centre midfield he has no pace to play as a winger and is more effective in the middle
Play BOS he is our most effective player and has pace to burn
Drop Lumley he looks shot at the moment, it’s a shame we can’t get the loan lad deing back from Dundee , if it means Ingram so be it
The front two needs to be wells and smith , Eze again looks shot
Never play lynch
Go with 4-3-3

Gk Ingram
RB Furlong
LB Bidwell
CB Leinster
CB Hall
CM freeman
CM luango
CM manning
CF wells
CF Smith
CF BOS

Have a go especially at home , wells and BOS can drift wide if needs be , things have to change
A

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

He should have gone before the 2 weeks break, well should never have come here in the first place.

I don't think to get a permanent manager in now will change much just have to ride it out.

When willl this CV nightmare end

Firstly, anyone but here next season doesn't start.
Maybe Ingram needs another chance. Lumley has been well off the pace for a while now.
Toni needs to start and be reminded that he's a captain
BOS needs to start

I'd worry about Ingram starting in this environment. Would rather let Lumley play through it. Not sure we have the money for a keeper with all the other issues.

Les has never coached, and IIRC has stated he has no interest in coaching.

Lumley can't get away with an easy ride though. He needs to know if he plays poorly then he gets dropped. We wont buy another keeper with Dieng out on loan too

So what was he doing at Spurs before us then ? cutting the oranges
I remember Trevor brooking taking the West Ham Job as a caretaker and nearly keeping them up and he never did any coaching
Les has to step up and get his hands dirty he is DOF and his remit is the football side is it not ? get Ramsey or penrice as assistants it has to be better than John Eustace surely to god

Not sure why Gareth Ainsworth is repeatedly mentioned as a replacement? WW lost at home again today and are 1 point above the relegation zone.
I'd rather remember him as an all in fcking good Rangers player who never shirked his responsibilities on the pitch.
My lasting memory of him was trying to play on in a Rangers shirt with a broken leg, the c unts we've got on the pitch at the moment are in the main SHYTE.

Have we got enough players left at the club to enable us not to play anyone who won't be here next season?

I understand the sentiment, but I don't think that the likes of Wells and Wszolek have given up.

Maybe not!! Smith works hard and will be here next season. BOS for Pav, although I have no problem with him.

Left back screws us.

Yeah I don't get the interest either Ted. He was a great player for us but he'd be getting slaughtered by November if he showed up here, guaranteed. He'll show up now...

Les was "specialist striker coach" there for a while and then an unknown part of a three headed caretaker beast where I'm guessing Ramsey was the training ground brains and Sherwood the leader of men motivator gobsh1te.

I do recall this pearl of wisdom at the time:

He wouldn't actually have to do any coaching. Redknapp was employed for a couple of years and no-one seems to have expected him to. Ramsey could coach and Les select the team, make subs, decide tactics etc.

Not saying it's a good idea, but it's possible as a way to get to the end of season and then do proper recruitment in the summer.

What makes you think Ollie WOULD come back? He'd need his head examining to touch this basket case of a club again after the way he was mistreated - mad love wouldn't start to cover it!

But, having sunk so low, surely the opposite is true - the only way for a new manager would be up? (Put another way, how crap a motivator and tactician would you have to be not to imrpove SOMETHING right now?) Even a new manager bouncette (one win off Eze's bum cheek - anywhere, anytime) would probably save us!
