If Oxford come up, we may need to bring Amos back. Only team he really dominated, albeit in preseason.

They were better on the day and being underdogs had no pressure as all the focus was on us. I doubt Smith set us up to lose, we just didn’t get the breaks and their counter-attacking was very effective and we couldn’t handle it. I’m still gutted but don’t hold them any I’ll wishes over it. Would prefer Oxford than Pompey-Leeds-of-the-south.

| Oxford-Portsmouth on 19:48 - Jul 6 with 1615 views | BrianMcCarthy | Great penalty clichés there. "That's what it means to him" as the camera shows the Oxford manager, completely motionless and emotionless. "Great penalty" after the Portsmouth player hits it two yards left and one yard up. | |

I know of no-one but footy commentators who take the pronoun and whack it at the end of the sentence.

As you mentioned Brian, no time for Portsmouth. On to the next game and it appears that Barton is morphing into Joe Pasquale. (according to the kids/internet). [Post edited 6 Jul 2020 19:53]

I was there.... And at the away game. I managed to get in but about 1500 Slough got locked out. Martin Oneil was their manager at the time. I think Dave Kemp was the Slough manager.
