This is why it makes me laugh when bitter fans of other clubs always say “typical xxxxx fan”. There’s no such thing.
I’ve met people at work functions and thought “they seem ok”, then during the course of the conversation it comes out they’re a Chelsea fan.... “cnt”.
Conversely I’ve met people in similar situations and thought they were a bit of a tvvat then it turns out they’re a QPR fan and suddenly all is forgiven.

It's not so much a question of would we like each other, pre internet we simply wouldn't know each other and would have no platform (other than the pub to a limited few fellow sufferers) to express our views. For generations, unless you actually went to matches and sat/stood in the same place and met the same people every other week, you would have no clue who your fellow fans are.
On here, I have 'met' fans which such diverse and often contrary views to mine both politically/socially and even on football matters, that I know we would have nothing/little in common in the 'real' world and therefore wouldn't hang together. But I have also 'met' people on here with similar views to my own on 'life the universe and everything,' that I wouldn't otherwise have known . C'est la vie |  | | |

Genuinely, I've only ever met about 3 or 4 chelsea fans I've liked. Whereas i know loads of fans of other london clubs who i like.
I think some clubs do have typical fans. West Ham fans tend to be very confident, even over confident people, for example. But i probaby have more west ham friends than any other club. Palace fans are nice too. Have loads of palace friends. |  |
