| The annual defeat at Ewood Park - Report on 15:52 - Nov 8 by Northernr | Was aware of the advantage thing, but that doesn't mean Dickie isn't fortunate/lucky. One misplaxced Blackburn pass in the aftermath away from a red. The time wasting blows my mind. Such an easy fix. |
True and also some (grassroots) referees say they will caution anyway and call such a tackle reckless AND Bob Woolmer - your mate - DID caution for something similar by a Cardiff player - AFTER playing advantage - but in that case the hold was accompanied by a swing of the leg as well - so he must have called that reckless on his report. Timewasting yeah I know it does. Only 3 subs and 2 injuries, so I suppose 5 DID include a BIT of time for that and because of goal and another sub, lengthy debate about the Bonne caution he did add another minute and a half to the 5 but as I said maybe after the 3rd Blackburn player had kicked the ball away you would think he would do something about it!

Particularly now when they're obviously taking advantage of these ridiculously OTT covid laws

Football and covid now that IS another thread!

He seems to be everywhere looking to set things up or get on the end of them. Very impressed on his minute lite excursions so far.

| The annual defeat at Ewood Park - Report on 21:49 - Nov 8 with 1886 views | Noelmc | Excellent report Clive on an entertaining match. Several LOL moments with the highlights; On Cameron's first half error " .with a first touch Sammy Koejoe would have laughed at" On Bradley Johnson's second half cynical foul "but he’s a fat hairy gobshite with three points in his arse pocket". Agree with you that the absence of BOS made a difference. Chair & Adomah wide don't have his physicality. Think another important factor, mentioned by Antti in the match thread, was our lack of recovery time after the away trip to Derby on Wednesday. Blackburn played Tuesday at home! Two long away trips in 4 days is bound to have an impact at the end of an intensive series of matches ahead of the International break. | | | |

| The annual defeat at Ewood Park - Report on 23:39 - Nov 8 with 1768 views | daveB | yesterday was the first time this seasons I've thought the referee was poor mainly due to the inability to deal with kicking the ball away at every set piece and that we played a side who were genuinely better than us meaning the defeat was more down to them being good than us being rubbish | | | |

They did. Back Wednesday night then train up to Blackburn out of Euston on Friday.

Fair do's although it seems a bit daft to do all that tiring travelling.

They got a taste of celebrity being on that C5 railway documentary. You can't move around a major London terminus these days without passing through a silent flashmob of QPR players.

So if they stayed overnight, how does that work with covid restrictions? I know there won't be many others guests but do they manage to be totally self bubble isolated in Blackburn? Just interested.

Incredible to think anyone aged 22 or below wouldn't have even been alive to watch two of those three play. God I feel old. Please keep doing them. Love the old names being plucked out the air!

| The annual defeat at Ewood Park - Report on 12:42 - Nov 9 with 1216 views | CliveWilsonSaid | “Rather disturbing that QPR have conceded three in two of the last three away games and Dieng has been man of the match on both occasions for making sure it wasn’t worse” Last time I remember that happening was when we had Alex Smithies in goal. Re- Willock. Apart from his skill and pace and ability to play across the front line I really like the way he gets in defenders faces. He looks like a real bugger to play against. | |

| The annual defeat at Ewood Park - Report on 13:17 - Nov 9 with 1162 views | TheChef | Agreed on the point about us being more positive, especially away from home and the lack of crowds currently. No harm in starting Willock instead of BOS, and keeping Chair in the middle. And if we want a little bit of inventiveness through the middle then in that middle two it's probably Carroll and Ball or Carroll and Cameron, rather then Cameron and Ball. But with the glut of games, it's asking a lot of Carroll. | |

| The annual defeat at Ewood Park - Report on 16:10 - Nov 9 with 1047 views | derbyhoop | I don't think anybody should have been surprised that we lost at Ewood Park. But, considering they started the day just below us, I would have said they looked the best side we have played this season. The sheer pace of their front line, coupled with the lack of it from our back line was the major difference. Armstrong looks lightning fast and, ultimately, was the main difference between the 2 sides. I remember seeing him play for Coventry, on loan, at Bradford one Tuesday night (don't ask) and didn't think he was that special. That was 4/5 years ago. A couple of years of scoring for fun in the Championship and Newcastle will want him back. | |

Yes, I said the same to a mate. When they get back to full strength I would be surprised to not see them challenge for promotion.

| The annual defeat at Ewood Park - Report on 15:39 - Nov 10 with 865 views | westberksr | a bit of a conundrum for Warburton as Chair clearly doesn't really work on the left and suits the number 10 'hole'. So does he abandon the 2 big DCM for 1 and play LTC behind Chair and pick another wide man. Chair is busy enough and can put in a tackle to stop people taking advantage and you have the possibility of better link up amongst the forward players and natural width. Slightly more attacking but without the influence of crowds etc, does it really matter about setting out your defensive attitude to stop the oppo? Along with the fact that we are better overall with that formation and can cause teams more trouble and arguably therefore be less vulnerable if they are wary of us. | | | |
