Back Him Or Sack Him. 09:12 - Dec 27 with 4771 viewsknocker

Have to do some business in January. Please don't shout we've got no money. We have and some needs to be found because this squad is taking us down, and there can't be a worse time to drop to division 1. Les's salary would free up a few quid for starters. The team as played well for short periods in most games before falling away after not scoring. A new manager would definitely get a few pounds to spend and so will warburton if he's allowed to stay. So sack him or back him because some of this squad are little better than Sunday league. And Klopp would fail with our lot.

If he has genuine targets in the transfer market in areas that we need, back him. If he sits down and says "soft goals" or "first contact" get rid.

You can keep sacking managers but all we will end up with is yes men
As long as the current board , DOF are making the decisions this club will never go anywhere

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

I cannot understand how Teflon Les gets away with it....he is a total chancer. Look at how our club has fared during his tenure. Dump this pony manager, sure, but we must also get rid of Ferdinand too or nothing is going to change - clearly..... How many years has he been our DOF? At this rate we’ll be heading into L1 and beyond. The club is in freefall.

Tough call.......get it right in the final third and we could be a top ten side. Not sure the players that we have playing as strikers are good enough. Dykes has been terrible and their is a lot of responsibility on him.

I would hold tight with MW atm......

I’m tempted towards ‘back’ if the alternative is Gilet Mockney Sherwood.

Then I think about what the meagre budget has been spunked on and not sure he deserves that opportunity or we can afford to risk it on him. We seemed to spend the whole summer courting Amos who even when fit is nothing special and was always unlikely to play too many games so I can’t have his injury as bad luck.

Grim either way. I’m glad it’s not my call.

Something has to give ! Can’t believe there are some that would be happy to keep him ?
He had money, this is his team and it’s a fking shambles !
If you rolled Wallace / Kane / niko and Kakay into one , you might have a 1 decent player
Dykes , I have no idea as we don’t play to suit his style so I have no fking idea why we bought him
Cameron should be on the bench as a last resort not the fking club captain
I could go on about setting the team up to play wing backs but only having 2 central defenders , having no leaders on the pitch , tactics, subs whatever you like So no I wouldn’t back him and he would have been down the road many weeks ago if I was in charge.

I was watching the Liverpool Spurs game on Amazon last week and Tiger Tim was pundit on the game.
Never seen or heard a more arrogant, clueless pile of shit in my whole life. Bloke is a 100% massive bell end and needs to stay miles away from the club.

Something needs to change and we are staring at L1 the way we are going so for me, and sad to say as I was a supporter of his Warbs has to go. If there is no Pearson type out there or a clone of Warnock we can attaract then i'd pop Ramsey into the hot seat again on a caretaker role - if he goes tits again he goes back to Academy Director, if he succeeds then he gets it full time.

Amos is a key reason why we are failing along with the strikers!!! Contrary to firm belief by many he is a good player and we miss him massively especially going forward

If youre that reliant on one player, and lets be honest Amos is no Adel then you deserve everything you get when he gets injured.

I find it rather odd ......when Bidwell was in the side he got so much abuse from this board (wrongly imo), he is a regular for Swansea who are one of the better sides in the division, Manning was the favourite (wrongly imo) but he cant get a game and Bidwell keeping him out of the side.

Perhaps, Bidwell left because of the abuse he used to get, I dont know, but I would take him ahead of any of our left sided players.

And why sign a player who is obviously injury prone? Do players ever really recover from an ACL? This lad is 23 and has now had two ACLs....

It depends on the contract he was given......I am sure that was built into it.

Back him or sack him?

Warburton should/must be sacked ASAP.

Les Ferdinand also must take responsibility too he's been in the DOF role for a long time and unless I'm mistaken I see no progress at the club. As a consequence Les should not carry on and should admit failure and leave. (At this current time I have no interest in QPR legends of which Les is undoubtedly one, my underlying thoughts are only for QPR FC and like it or not we are in serious trouble).

All the 'good work' done at the club work in the community etcetera-etcetera has now been lost with the bad work that we're seeing on pitch.

At the risk of internally exploding and repeating myself It's the same week after week, I honestly cant see where the next win is coming from, I've done relegations before but this time It seems worse for some reason.
Of course we're not relegated yet nobody ever got relegated on December 27th but we cant just 'carry on' hoping things will get better because they wont.

Someone at the club be it Hoos or Ferdinand must take accountability.

We're still in there, but keeping Warburton on any longer than today and we soon wont be, he has to go and quickly.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

A competent Referee would have given two penalties against Bidwell yesterday - holding Dykes shirt at a corner and the bizarre head-down bull charge into Barbet in their box when the idiot Referee gave the foul against Barbet. Good header mind, can't recall many of those in his three seasons with us.

Nico's pathetic attempt to close down the cross for the 1st goal did remind me of both Bidwell + Manning tho.

I still thinK Warburton was a good appointment when we made it, he's come in and developed some of your younger players. Eze, Bright, Chair and Manning all improved under him, up until lockdown he was doing a very good job but since then something has gone wrong and it's all been a bit crap.

I think he'll go but I'm not going to get any joy out of him going I think it's a real shame it hasn't worked out.

We are just plodding on at the moment, existing with no real drive and ambition. I don't know who they should appoint or if they will make much of a difference but we're fading away at the moment, worst team in west london by a country mile which doesn't reflect well on anyone at the club.

As for Ferdinand I think he needs a very good window and a very good appointment to stay long term although I dread to think what our board will do when he does go.

I think he's done a lot of good things since he's come back but recruitment has been nowhere near good enough and some of the contracts recently handed out along with the Manning mess are things he has control over and needs to do a lot better with.

His stock went up exponentially after an hour at Bournemouth after 30+ games where he mostly did nothing at all. I really doubt he’d have been the elixir we need even if he would have most likely improved as most players do at his age and experience level.

Regretfully I think he needs to go .

He is too stubborn to change his way of playing to reflect a relegation scrap .He is not a good fit for our situation .

I really enjoyed some of the passing football he has overseen but we need a different mindset and character IMO.

Cook would be my choice of the obvious candidates .

Whether it's Warburton or somebody else we need some January additions. I don't think this team stays up as it is.

So should the club lob another £5M at players and hope FFP doesn't get broken?

Its been said that we continually sign players and it makes little difference.

If they are Prem loans costing us then its money spent to save us this season, so what happens next season?

captains fantastic

Why do we need to spend £5m?

Get a couple or three of experienced loan signings till the end of the season (probably a central midfielder, a full backand a Striker) and sell BOS for all we can.

We're going to need to try and find a couple of loans. You know me, I'm usually the one prwaching less change, signings don't solve everything, etc, but looking at that team yesterday it's just not good enough.

Go look at the stats from yesterday. We had 12 attempts, but only 1 on target. They had 6 and 4.
If our strikeforce are only hitting the target 1 in 12 then changing the manager is not going to make things that much better. And if anybody thinks we're going to spend 3-5m on another striker who might make a difference then you are absolutely deluded.

We need to change a few things, if we can afford to.
Neither FB are convincing, Cameron looks 18 months past a Championship midfielder; BOS doesn't seem interested but neither Willock nor Adomah have offered great alternatives. And that's before you start on Dykes and Bonne.

What would a new manager do?

A new voice may get just enough out of this bunch to get us over the line .
