Messi 08:33 - Jul 11 with 1694 viewstraininvain

Finally won an international final last night at the 5th attempt. Argentina’s first trophy in 28 years. Let’s hope it’s a good omen for England tonight.

Anyway, couldn’t be happier for Messi this morning: https://mobile.twitter.com/Lionel10Team/status/1414043427315015680

Apart from the partisan loyalties to Oircheann GAA, QPR and Cork, Messi has been the biggest sporting joy of my life, by far - a treat, a gift, a stór. Importantly, too, a humble player with great team and personal ethics.

Bow the knee.

Team mates reaction at the end tells you all about him as a player. In the best 3 attacking players of my lifetime was virtually unplayable at times. Has the quickest feet I have seen in football and must have unbelievable strength for his size because no one is ever able to just physically bully him

Anyone think Messi may be tempted to a move to the Premiership.

According to some reports Messi was denied a transfer request early last season and it’s being suggested Barcelona are financially crippled to cover his current wages.

If he did come to England it would certainly wake my appetite for watching Premiership football.

Let's see CR7 try and win a Copa now.

The grass is always greener.

Thornton Heath win the Copa? That would be something.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

We could offer him a stake in the club. He's 28 so could take a club like ours into the Prem easy, especially as we are almost there and in fit state financially.

Later Ronaldo could join for a stake as well. Both would then own a club and the big draw would be seeing them play together for a year or two in the Prem. They would make gazillions and we would become an established Prem club. Loads of young players would want to join on the cheap to say they played with the QPR galacticos.

The ground would be sold out every game, TV rights would be huge, new academy, new stadium. Messia and Ronaldo would have their egos stroked every day and statues put up.

Easy money for them and most importantly for them they would get control of a Prem club, instead of being controlled by them.

zzzzzzzzzz
