Yes some fond memories of games played in the mud. However, although the players adapted and still showed their skills, in reality it was a great leveller, slowed the game down and made it more about clattering into each other.
The pitch now looks the best I have ever seen at Loftus Road. I was thinking, on Saturday on my long drive up, that a few years ago I would have to come off at the next exit and return home as this match would almost certainly have been postponed. Luckily, in the days when games got called off when you got into or outside the ground, I lived a bit closer. | | | |

A couple of games ago (can't remember which one - maybe Brum) there was a pigeon eating stuff for ages at the corner of the Loft & Ellerslie. Totally unphased by all the action around him.
I concluded it was probably seeds - I guess they can seed it at this time of year as they have those UV light tent things they wheel about at night to encourage growth. |  |
