Reading/Bournemouth - Awaydays on 21:30 - Oct 11 with 2374 views | stevec | How that private school ponce Oliver Holt gets to write football for a national newspaper baffles me, though I’ve probably just answered my own question. Making Reading bearable, particularly if you’ve a driver and M3 bound; Tally Ho pub then a return drive along quiet country roads straight in and out of the backside of the industrial estate avoiding all the traffic. Bliss.

| "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the Earth all one's lifetime." (Mark Twain)

Reading/Bournemouth - Awaydays on 21:51 - Oct 11 with 2358 views | Konk | Reading should be a great away day; cheap travel, just down the road, previously got a big old allocation. In reality, it's possibly the worst away day in the league, and I don't know anyone who enjoys it. We've tried buses, taxis, walking, and driving over the years, and it's always sh it. It would probably be shi t by horseback or rocket pack too. At least Saints, Derby etc have decent pubs nearby and you can walk to the station easily enough. Bring back Elm Park.

Reading/Bournemouth - Awaydays on 16:09 - Oct 12 with 1536 views | extratimeR | Wonderful stuff Clive! Oliver Holt, Jesus. Maybe Reading is in another Dimension? Perhaps we are not meant to go their? Is their anything in the Bible about Reading?
Reading/Bournemouth - Awaydays on 22:11 - Oct 13 with 853 views | simmo | Bournemouth was really fun, laughed like a drain most of the day and a lot of the next morning. The football, as ever, was the least memorable part of the day.
