We’ll need to up our game but we have other attackers who can step up. Dykes will get better with more minutes (we’ve seen what he can do when on form) and we know that Gray and Austin have goals in them. We’ll have a good chance if we can get Willock playing like he did today along with one or two of our strikers doing likewise and Johansen having one of his better games.
Chair!( on 22:40 - Jan 2 with 1574 views | JamesB1979 | It’s great we’re winning games without him. He’s still in my first 3 on the team sheet. Too much focus on Willock without him. We weren’t great today but I thought all our players played well!
Chair!( on 23:14 - Jan 2 with 1467 views | golborne | Just different and less easy on the eye without him, but bar a couple of incidents they did really well today. Somebody called out Dunne, which is valid, but Amos and Field were up against a Brum 3 in central midfield for most of the game and stood firm and fed the next line well.

I agree. Don’t get me wrong I definitely prefer Chair to start; but when we are not having to shoehorn he and Willock into the team we become more compact.
Chair!( on 23:37 - Jan 2 with 1395 views | CliveWilsonSaid | I liked it when Johansen had a go at Amos today, towards the end. He headed it out of play when a simple forward header would of had us away. Amos is a frustrating player at times but it won't take much to turn him into a good one at this level. Just stay fit and have more composure.

As bad as we played against Bristol City, it was still far better than West Brom have played in any game this season!
Chair!( on 10:21 - Jan 3 with 1051 views | Mole_Senior | I too would have Chair as the first name on my team sheet, however I also feel it does limit our front one or two when he does play. I feel we’ve become a bit too reliable on him and this season and it reminds me a little of when we had Eze. All our play seems to go through him, which is great but there’s not always an end product. I’ve noticed the likes of Austin and Dykes getting really frustrated with little service coming into the box and even Wallace (when fit) tends to play a short pass inside rather than crossing like he did yesterday and earlier in the season. In short, when Chair plays, I don’t feel we play to the strengths of Austin/Dykes so this could be an opportunity to alter this and really promote Willock in the no. 10 now 😃🤙🻠| | | | Login to get fewer ads
