Before today I remember some special offers in the Warnock promotion season. A tenner a ticket or something like that. Vague memory of a Burnley 1-1 and bumping into my local postie who’d also taken advantage of the offer. Maybe last time I’ve been in the School End. Jesus the breeze-block claustrophobia corridor trying to get a drink at half-time. I gave up. Couldn’t do that every other week.

I was there for a match against Rotherham, shortly after Ale Faurlin came back from his last ACL injury. Can't remember the date exactly.

In one of our recent premier league seasons there was a temporary scaffolding roof put on it so we could have it every game as technically all we have to offer away fans is 1800 so they just got the upper, was a few games where teams got both.

There was a story that when Tony Blair was PM he visited a care home. He said to a very old lady “hello my dear, do you know who I am?”
She replied “no, but if you ask one of the nurses they might know”

as we need cash and are winning, demand for seats goes up and the club need to start considering how many games we have qpr fans in lower away end. give us as much support and noise as we can and limit away fans to the top.
why give millwall near 3000 when they could be rivals? i saw watford had both tiers at the den, we had that once??
fill our ground with qpr fans.

True story from ages ago.

Friend of mine had to go to A & E and an old fella was being asked what day it was.

The guy looked perplexed for several minutes, then suddenly his face cleared and he said "I've got it! It's Grand National Day!"

I was in there yesterday having taken advantage of the cheap tickets deal. Odd view of the Sky Sports studio where 10 blokes were standing in the window to watch the match like some kind of Identity Parade.

Also we had the world's slowest and inept catering staff imaginable. This is what really winds me up about the club sometimes. They're going to sell extortionate food and drink; we all know stadium food no matter where is a marked up rip off but we except that. So to actually not be there banging this stuff out to willing customers at a rate of knots is just baffling. I along with many other punters gave up before the match because the queue wasn't moving. At half time the Mrs left on 40 mintures to get a head start and when she got served 5 minutes before the second half began, they'd ran out of their shitty £6 hot dogs. That's money the club are happily pissing away here and the people serving made the bar staff at the old Goldhawk look turbo by comparison.

Tell me about it. The catering bar by the SAR entrance of the school end I had the misfortune of being served by a young lady who could hardly see about the counter and it seemed had trouble and had to wait to ask a colleague which pie was a steak and ale pie. And then when she finally got it she then wandered off for two or three minutes and asked me what the rest of my order was!! Hot dog I said trying to remain patient and off she goes again walking back and forth before another two minutes passed to check the till and then go back to off again to get the said hot dog. Although the view was certainly different and we had a Birdseye view of both goals I’ll stay in my seat in SAR in future.

She might be better off not sampling that rubbish hot dog Toast_R
It might be time to use the American model when vendors work up and down the aisles selling hot food and cold beer for the entire game .
Its a pain in the ba*lls if you are on the end with people passing drinks along but they make a lot of money and fans love it ( I think)
Its all cashless too including the old reliable bottled water but in chilly London that might not be a good seller

Lucky to find enough staff at all. Last time it was mentioned think LH said the catering staff come from Birmingham - if that is still the case I have no idea though.

I'm sure if you could find staff willing to work a couple of manic hours maybe 3 times a month, paying their own travel expenses, then I'm sure the club and caterers would love to hear about it. Even hiring vending machines would not be profitable.

In theory it's good but football rarely has the long breaks in play like NFL or Baseball so.playing pass the parcel with a rollover hotdog whilst Jojo is curling another of his goal bound corners, would cause all kinds of chaos. Imagine some sap in an apron and a novelty doughnut hat stood obstructing your field of vision for a prolonged period whilst Chair is tearing someone apart again.

Only time I've ever sat on school end was against Doncaster on new year's day 2014.

Pi55ing with rain, hungover and cold.... terrible gane but an injury time winner by Charlie made it just about bearable!

I don't see why it's that difficult tbh. Anyone who knows how to run a business could do it.

Pints pre poured, soft drinks in the fridge and just do hot dogs, thats it. Anyone wants a kit kat or a bag of crisps, bring your bloody own. They don't even have to handle cash anymore. Can't get the staff? Get down the local sixth forms and colleges, pay them £50 each for an afternoons work, commission if they sell x amount of hot dogs.

Of course there's a vegetarian option... you can f*ck off. (Frankie Boyle)
