Dude, where’s my football team? Report on 21:19 - Apr 6 by 222gers
I like the N/A rating for their keeper
Me too.
I share the frustration that we are back to the old Southern softies routine of getting bullied by the opposition and making no protests. Once again we win on bookings and that will happen while we let the opponents referee the games influencing decisions and pointing out to the officials our man should be carded. We stand there accepting it.
With the need to sell by not going up, replacing ageing players, misfiring strikers and lack of pace, major surgery is required whoever the manager is. While changing the squad they need to find a leader and someone who takes no nonsense from the oppo. We have to toughen up mentally and physically.

I don't think major surgery is needed for this team although of course if the out of contract players all leave and we change managers then yeah it probably is rebuild time.
Every summer we sign 5/6 players and would imagine that will be the same again this year. We need full backs/wing backs and a forward imo, certainly one with some pace but any other signings would only be needed if we sell. It's not a terrible squad we have it just lacks some pace and a some quality in the final 3rd. If you compare the squad to a year ago I think we're stronger now and than we were then when we needed to sign the 4 loans. I realise that sounds stupid after the last few games but we do have some good players still here.

Couple of players with pace would be transformative. Just add Bright back in and we’re in the 6 IMO.

Good call on BOS. He's consistency was always a problem for me but he's ability to put defenders on the back foot was a major plus . Cardiff, Fulham, Peterborough, I could go on could have set up picnic table in the penalty area such was the lack of creativity from our lot. Pace is what's required next season. Once again, hats off to all who travelled Tuesday night. You're all heroes!!

Thanks Clive great report. Having been in top 6 nearly all season it’s so disappointing to be where we are now at the business end of the season. I feel like a kid promised all year a new bike for Christmas and a week before Xmas day my dad says your keeping your old bike I will splash a bit of paint on it….oh to support QPR!
The problem with having pace in a Warburton team is that he does not set up his teams to play to that tune. I agree - we need pace in the centre of defence, midfield, wide and possibly up top. Les would need Warburton to change his approach and from what I know of his approach at past clubs, Warburton is unlikely to change his tactics or approach. Could it be that the club have spotted his supposed reluctance to change tactics as the reason we have slumped and hence the the rumour-mill that he is on the way out? I love the style of football but is Warburton a manager who can get a Championship team promoted? Perhaps the club, think not but who else is there?

Disagree about Westwood for the goal, took a huge deflection that wrong footed him, just watched it back to check and it definitely changed direction of the ball, also looking at it from the camera behind the other goal he’s completely unsighted when the ball is struck.

I was sat in the front row right in the middle of the goal so I had pretty much the same view of the goal as Westwood did. He had no chance of saving that. It took a deflection and he didn't see it at all until the very last moment.
Great report Clive, thanks.

"But I’ll be there with you. It’s what we do". It's what us lot do following England away in the cricket, so I fully empathise with you. Respect to you all.
You gotta experience the lows to really appreciate the highs (which will come again). Stick with Warbs, let him do his recruitment and get the team gelling over the Summer, and go again for Top 6 next season. Come on You R's

Magnificent report as usual so thanks but sad to be brutally honest .We have just melted away without any resistance and its hard to see the next few games improving.Pride in the jersey and all that but this team has flatlined. The goalkeeper has been fine ,no howlers and has stabilized a bad situation.Look at one of the top keepers in Europe IMO Mendy kill off Chelsea's CL dreams yesterday its the one position there is no hiding. Strongly agree about the offside no call bullsh*t .How many collisions could be avoided if they just raise the flag its stupid . Loved your comment yesterday in the forum asking us all to take a second away from the pillaging to help with the MOM. We are all just resigned to our slide down the table.Just like kissing your sister pretty useless right now

I do feel a lot of changes will have to happen. We could well lose Dieng and Willock if we do have to sell assets. Then you have the loans going off, players like Adomah, Austin and JoJo look past it. We need a striker who is better than Dykes and two new wingbacks.
Then you look at what we have left and there is no pace in the side or a leader so more players need bringing in with those attributes. We seem to have players who run out of energy three quarters of the way through a game or three quarters of the way through the season just as we get to the business end so that needs working on. The major problem is where to find replacements with our budget.
We need to also ditch the recent boring style of play which is painfully a reminder of darker days.
