| Norwich away on Sky 14:05 - Sep 23 with 4648 views | Northernr | Stays the same date. However they've kindly moved it to 8pm kick off - last train is 22.02. Sometimes it's hard to believe they're not just deliberately going out of their way to stop you going so you have to stay at home and watch it with them. | | | | |

Because generally those people who comment on such pages can't think beyond their nose anyway or ever attend an actual game of football.

Or drive to Colchester and get the train for the rest of the journey. The last train then is 23.05.
| Norwich away on Sky on 00:30 - Sep 24 with 2823 views | LazyFan | No one should go on mass, if no one turns up, then Sky will look lame showing an empty stadium. It's the only way to stick it to them. Otherwise, you will get "well done to the QPR fans for travelling so far, supporting their team in numbers" garbage when Sky has done its level best to stop you from going. | |

Yes. The listings for November were announced yesterday.
| Norwich away on Sky on 13:07 - Sep 27 with 2261 views | Northernr | Lee Hoos has done good on this one. Spoke with him last week and he was straight onto the EFL. After a dialogue with them, Sky and Norwich it has been switched back to 1945 so you can make the last train again. Victory for the little people, until there's a train strike. | | | |
| Norwich away on Sky on 13:17 - Sep 27 with 2213 views | terryb | Well done Clive & Lee Hoos. A small, but important, victory for supporters. I'm far more likely to attend now than I was prior to reading this. The question now begging to be asked is:- Why do Sky change kick offs to 8.00pm rather than the usual 7.45pm? I don't understand what benefit they get from doing this. | | | |

If I had to hazard a guess it's that everybody switches off at full time, nobody watches the post game stuff. So they've weighted it more towards the pre-match which people do watch.

I think this makes sense, but do many really watch the pre-match? Kick off time is early enough for my family to start watching! There is enough information & a more balanced preview given on message board match threads, than listening to Jamie Mackie, Jobi McAnuff, Don Goodman etc! Even better is the discussion among friends sat at a pub table before going to the match. [Post edited 27 Sep 2022 13:33]

Good work. Can Lees Hoos also ensure that Gary Weaver doesn't commentate on this "night of destiny when legends will be written"? That would be great. [Post edited 27 Sep 2022 13:56]

One reason only to cock block BT's coverage of Champions League on same night at 8 pm the same reason we have 12 45 Saturday kick offs to cock block BT's Premier League games

Well done, Clive, but honestly, why is this so hard for them to get right in the first instance? There are so few variables they need to consider when moving around start times (e.g., last train times, etc). Is there no one at the EFL who goes on the national rail website and considers how this might affect fans? Moreover, there is so much chat about how there are too many matches, too many midweeks, squads not being big enough, etc... and how that flows into the product on the pitch Why doesnt the EFL make more of an effort to optimize who plays whom where? There is a fairly even distribution of teams in the south, midlands, north. So why do we see fixtures like Blackpool at QPR or Hull at QPR on a Tuesday night (two of our three midweeks this season)? It just seems like an obvious own goal by the EFL- you make traveling easier for fans, which keeps your "customer base" happy and allows more people to actually attend matches in person (which helps clubs' bottom lines). plus, i would imagine its better for the players' rest and recovery to do these longer trips on weekends rather than after 10 pm on a tuesday or wednesday I could conceivably go to QPR at Millwall or QPR at Watford midweek but QPR at Norwich is basically a total nonstarter....no one rly wins here, other than sky who might be a very marginal uptick in the number of people who watch the matches on tv rather than the stadium....
