To be fair, the extended ooooooooooooooooookkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk thing he used to do on Tiswas was hilarious to 9 year old me and others of a similar age.

Deacus was very funny however, I don't think he's made me laugh since getting custard pies in his face in the 70s.

He seemed to only appear at Comic Relief, trot out rubbish characters - like his Barry White one - and do sketches that saw forced laughter from the audience to hide the fact that they weren't funny.

Comedy evolves and I suppose in 40 years time, people will be saying today's comedians aren't funny. But one thing will unite the generations: Jimmy Carr was not funny, bloody annoying and his laugh should see him slapped. Repeatedly so!

Lost all street cred and any semblance of funnyness when he sold his soul to promoting premier inn in that ILL fitting purple suit.

When you reach the place beyond thoughts, the only thing you'll find is love and the only purpose of life becomes to ease the suffering of others.

Like all of humanity - somewhere in between.

Not sure he still classifies as a comedian though.
