Experiencing Loftus Road Absence Syndrome 16:37 - Dec 7 with 1755 viewsnumptydumpty

Anyone experiencing irritability without attending and watching our great team.

Blew up at my old dear the other day and put it down to missing attending QPR games.

The fact that 99% of the time, I watch us live, I experience severe stress and anger, its surprising its worse without the Rangers fix even if half of the time I leave feeling like the bathroom door is going get a kicking !!!

Anyone else feel that something is missing when you not got games to attend or follow.

Japan v Croatia on the box is a pitiful replacement !!!

🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Absolutely. I get the same with international breaks.

I'm in the enjoyment camp. The only thing that I have missed is the feeling of fulfilment or emptiness at about 6 o'clock on a Saturday after the game but other than that I have not really missed the trudge up to the stadium and the games. A beer doesn't taste quite so nice at 6 p.m. without a cold game before but that is about it.

I do miss the whole experience: prematch beer and laughs with my Rs mates, being at LR, watching the game with friends and then maybe a few beers postmatch with the lads to finish it all off. It's one of life's great pleasures regardless of the result.

PS winning a game as well does help my happiness index

I think the squad needed the break, especially so after Beale slinked away, so I'm happy that we're off.

Looking forward to Sunday now, though.

Especially looking forward to Sunday as my brother and his daughter are over from Ireland.
Few beers after the game and a catch up.
We definitely needed that break though and could do with at least a point.

Two degrees celsius and a home loss should stem that feeling nicely.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

I'm feeling a bit unenthusiastic atm, I think because of all the Beale shenanigans rather than the poor results pre-WC. I'll feel more into it all I think when we get the new manager confirmed.

I've been surprised at how much I enjoyed the England game this week. I think it's the way they're playing with a togetherness we had at the beginning of the season that has fallen away since the Wolves and Rangers saga.

Not necessarily expecting much on Sunday, but looking forward to improvements after that.

Not missed a game this season or last, but I really needed the break.

Sunday has the feeling of going back to school after a brilliant summer holiday...

I'm worried by how easy I've found it not going.

I won't dwell on it, but I've found it really really difficult going to games without my old man. I've been really glad of an extended break, but due to birthdays, work & going back to Ireland for Christmas etc I basically won't make any of the December games. Skipping them has become a bit of a habit .

I'll try to come to it fresh in the new year, but at the moment, I'm depressingly thrilled to not have it in my life

Just wanted to say I understand your feelings. Hope you have a great Christmas and are able to reconnect with our club in the new year. Even if you don't, I sure there'll soon come a time when you will. You're QPR.

I can understand your feelings re this Robith.

Both my parents passed recently, mum 2020 and dad 2021, dad was more of a rugby man, but came to games at Loftus Road fairly regularly but first time I went after he had passed, remember tear in my eyes when on tannoy they did rangers we have lost during pandemic year. Looked up automatically.

Missed speaking to the old boy after games to start with, but do enjoy again attending

Hope you manage get your Rangers Mojo back, but yes do understand

Take easy mate. 🙂

Yeah I've been missing it, would love to go this weekend but can't make it (although to be honest Sunday lunchtime games are awful).

Apart for the England bit, very similar to how I feel. Although as I've said many times we still had several very good performances/results in the middle of and immediate aftermath of the 'Wolves Saga'

Thinking its a bit like last season's journey off the cliff, probably several reasons for the down turn in form.

Beale's job hunt could have been part of it, but like last season's 'easy' answer - injuries - the facts don't quite equate to their being only 1 reason in either case.

As you say once we have a new man, I'm sure I'll get my enthusiasm back......until the next crisis!
