Just seen top of the pops from 1982 on the TV tonight, just before the cup final replay....
Weirdly I did a Google search as to what our song was this year because we didn't feature in the top 20 but Tottenham did and my post from a few years ago came up!! [Post edited 28 May 2023 10:04]

My God, I've not heard this in 30 odd years. It was always on the tannoy back in the late 80s, 90s when I got to the upper loft with my Dad about 2.15pm.
I never knew it was from the 82 Cup Final. Thanks for posting.

Disco, you are correct. I've checked and the 6th May edition indeed has the Spurs and Scotland squad on the same show.
Tony Burrows though had done it 12 years earlier by appearing singing lead with two different groups, Brotherhood of Man (Mk I) with 'United We Stand' and Edison Lighthouse 'Love Grows ( Where My Rosemary Goes)' |  |
