I doubt Southgate’s too bothered at this stage. He’s taken stick throughout his time as England manager despite getting to finals, semi finals etc.

He’ll be gone after Euro 2024 so he’s not going to use it as a tournament to experiment. It’ll be the players who he thinks have the best chance of success with an emphasis on experience. Rightly or wrongly. Let’s hope it’s the former.
