Bellingham is even better that I thought he was. Incredible player.

Southgate's tactics should be to build the team around him. Play him in his best position and work everyone else around that.

Willie Miller

Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

It's been a privilege to watch Jude Bellingham tonight.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

Not difficult to see why Madrid fans have been calling Bellingham the new Zidane.

Souness talks absolute bollox, in my opinion.

Actually said player for player Scotland are as good as England and that Bellingham should be replaced by Maddison. You have to laugh

He's so good you don't need to build the team around him, get a good structure around him, likes of Foden, Rashford, Saka around him he will cause so many problems. One of the best midfield players I've ever seen, got it all

A shoe in for the Ballon D'or in the next few years

Kane and Dykes on the same pitch but worlds apart in class.

At least Lyndon shouldn’t be too tired for Saturday.

He has such a serious air about him, like he’s never satisfied. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets even better.

Tremendous first touch by Ebs but keeper did well to block the shot.

Armstrong scored for Ireland U21s. Sounds like a calamity from San Marino and Sincs stopped an embarrassing OG.

Bugs me though Eze stuck out on the left and Gallagher on to play through the middle in a 10 role.

Smells like a trout farm in here

I was a bit baffled by that, if they have been watching Eze at all they know whilst he can play left side/wing he is far more effective coming through the centre.

Never knowingly understood

He tends to play one quick winger Saka/Rashford and a number 10 out wide to come inside so can see why he put Eze there, real shame he didn't take that chance

Huge gulf in class between them, England never really got out of 2nd gear after the 1st goal.
Have to say Bellingham is an awesome talent.

I'm not going over the top when I say Bellingham will be considered England's greatest ever player one day.

Bellingham is decent and has potential but Dozzell is better and scores more impressive goals.

Bellingham's interview, the guys only 20 and he's giving a live debrief like he's been a manager for 20 years. What an absolute diamond.

Would have been nice to slot the chance away. Amazing first touch and if that had settled on his right foot I think he would have buried it. It'll come. He looks comfortable in an England shirt.

Bellingham is our Mbappe. If we are ever going to win something it will be because we build around him.

Never knowingly right.

He is to England what Zidane was for France and he’s well on target to be as important to Madrid as Zidane was too. I see a lot of Zidane in Bellingham. Not a bad comparison to have
2
england v scotland on 22:31 - Sep 12 with 1693 viewsLazyFan

Bellingham plays more like the old Bryan Robson.
Bellingham forces the move and drives the whole team forward, just like Robson. Comparisons with Zidane miss that Bellingham can tackle and head the ball, too. Not sure they play the same way, which is why I liken him to a Robson and possibly better.

Robson's problem was he was permanently injured. Bellingham looks fit and strong; if he stays fit and has the support from the likes of Saka and Foden, we shall win a World Cup.

Bellingham is the new Captain Marvel and should be the captain of England for years to come. Madrid will sign Mbappe next season and then start a new era of Galacticos with Bellingham as the centrepiece of it all.

zzzzzzzzzz

The crossbar was introduced toward the end of the 19th century primarily to give the Scottish football supporter somewhere to sit

That was the first England game I went to. Quite an experience as a nipper.
