So we have in our illustrious past have had a Balon D'Or nominated player.

Mr Don Givens in 1975.

Perhaps this accolade is unlikely to happen again !!!

He was beaten by Beckenbauer and Cruyff amongst others.

I seem to remember Massimo Luongo was nominated but randomly when he was at Swindon in League One.

Not sure why I am posting this at this time.

Just saying we can be great !!!

I guess if Luongo got nominated, Taraabt missing out was an oversight.

Think Gerry Francis and Stan Bowles could have made the list. Or even Les Ferdinand.
